How silly.

Hopefully Lucid would never attempt to do that .

Jaguar is going all electric by 2026- they plan to have only 4 models- 4 door executive sedan coming soon, starting at 120k. Then a large SUV and a smaller coupe/convertible. And that’s it. Going to compete against Bentley. No more ICE cars. And interiors will be Bentley quality with the aim to sell 100k vehicles a year, 25k profit per vehicle. This is what Rangerover presently gets.

They are giving up competing with BMW, Mercedes, Audi in the mass market.

I thought Jaguar is into car making.
I guess, the result, what happens when woke virus infects a legendary car company.

I can't imagine Lucid doing anything like that. It's definitely not their image. Nothing about that makes me want to buy a car from them, especially a luxury car. I'm not sure what market segment that ad is supposed to appeal to, especially since our young person doesn't like it at all. I'm sure my 24 year old son wouldn't like that either.

If they did, they would have instant extreme brand recognition. Can't say it would be good, but as they say bad news is better than no news.

Lol. Lucid responded with a picture of the Sapphire and the phrase "Compromise nothing". Elon asked "do you sell cars?"
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good natured trolling but looks like a Benetton ad which preceded "woke" by a country mile.

FWIW: Jaguar never really tried to play in the mass market arena like MB or BMW

...Wait, Jaguar is a car company? I thought they were a edgy, "trendy," clothing company for 16 year olds based on this ad... 🤣

United Colors of Benetton circa 1985

I saw that. Not sure if trolling or it may have another meaning? Maybe they are buying Lucid tech to power their EV line?

Anyone remember the Apple Superbowl ad? The one with a user smashing a screen of conformity? Pretty effective.. No...extraordinarily effective.

That ad had a George Orwell implied reference. And the ad came out in 1984.

Both responses are spot on.
Although Musk's is more brutal one.

I re-watched the commercial and at the very beginning i see the guy(?) with the fakeish small boobs. I immediately drove to a Jaguar dealership, asking why so small.
Their response, do you wanna test drive it?
My response, sure, what size/what color?
They didn't want to talk to me anymore.
No sale I guess...

There's not even a puddle of oil on the floor by the models. Oh, wait. That's my old Land Rover.
These comments are brutal... 😂

I think a better ad would be the V8 F-type, revving it's engine and letting us hear the exquisite exhaust sounds. Yes I know it has nothing to do with their EVs but then again, neither does their ad.😅

According to the linked article, “Less than 24 hours and 74 million views”. Didn’t someone say (or proven ) that all publicity is good publicity? 😎
