Is service overwhelmed?

Service definitely showing signs of strain down here in South Florida. West Palm Beach SC, dropped off my GGT on 6/23 for the 2nd row recall and squeaks and passenger window shades making noise. It wasn’t ready until yesterday. 22 days for only that which brings my total days in service to 64 days over six times in 11 months. And unfortunately dream drive doesn’t work now. I told them I got an alert saying “dream drive unavailable schedule service”. They seem to not want to take it back in and told be the sensors have to be recalibrated and driven up to 30 miles. I responded back, yes, I know what that alert looks like from when we got 3.6 but this is a different alert (not to mention it only took 3 miles on the highway after 3.6 update to calibrate). They said nope, you need to go drive it. I wasted 30 minutes of my life this morning and drove on the highway in the middle of a 5 lane highway for 30 miles and as I expected, still didn’t work. I called to tell them to please make me an appointment and then haven’t gotten back to me.

Well, our Tesla cameras are all dead, 2nd time in a year. Next earliest service date is 3 weeks out. So it’s not just Lucid. Tesla sucks with service as well.

Let's just agree to disagree.

Yes, I always asked service not to wash my car when I'm at the BH location. But, this is the 1st time that the exterior of the car was this FILTHY. It was obviously stored outside exposed to the elements for OVER one month in the hot sun.

Again, I'm NOT mad at service for following my instruction of not washing the car....I'm so glad they remembered my instruction.

I AM mad about the way they treated my expensive car under their possession...by leaving it OUTSIDE for over a month. This car is my "baby", and it is always garaged. If they want to keep my car for this long, I think they need to store it safely, away from elements. I can understand storing the car outside is acceptable if its only for a few days; not over a month.
It wouldn't kill them to have a handful of outdoor car covers to put over customer cars for longer storage that is for sure...

I noticed that with recent attention on all of the service issues, that our old favorite complaints of software and fob issues are down. Is that due to software and fob improving or that so many of those cars are now stuck in service? 🤣

Software has improved. The 3.6.0 version of the software seems to be (for the most part) pretty darn stable. I know for myself the key fob problems have completely gone away.

great, now you've jinxed it!

They are taking care of me nicely in Atlanta. Windshield cracked from rock and ran over a huge iece of metal on the highway.

My service at Millbrae is complete after 5 1/2 weeks. The car phoned home about problems with the HV battery pack which they ended up replacing. This is the second replacement in my Dec 2023 (year model 23)Touring. They also updated the software to 2.10.0, "updated" the coolant with a new coolant type, fixed one of the AC vent knobs that had fallen off and replaced an air dam in front of one of the front wheels at my request.

Communication was great, it was easy to make the appointment, I had an Air from Enterprise for the entire time and the car was returned freshly washed.

Really the only thing wrong was the amount of time needed for service . It was a week before I was assigned a service advisor and another 2 weeks before they even looked at the car. This type of delay is obviously a huge problem. I love my car and I hope Lucid is able to get service under control. My experience with service has been flawless in my 3.5 years of ownership with the exception of the insane delay this time. This is the first time I've actually had doubt they will make it since I've owned the car. Poor ownership experience will kill a brand quickly. Crossing fingers Lucid gets their service house in order sooner rather than later.

hmm. Like you I'm just over 3 years into my 2023 AWD--- and up until now have had fantastic service experience. I waited 3 weeks for my appointment and dropped off yesterday. I did receive a nearly new (only 500 miles) 2026 Touring loaner (from Lucid-- not enterprise) but was disheartened to learn it might be 2 to 3 weeks before I see my car again. I hope it goes fast but based on what I've been seeing recently (and reading here) and what I was told, my poor car will sit outside in their lot getting tree sap and bird poop for weeks while baking in the sun before they even look at it AND I had an appointment. AAAARG!

Personally I’d like a very simple fix
If the car is functional as a car then just put me on the schedule. When we get close then simply confirm when to bring the car in.
Stop this losing the car for days/weeks if it can be driven.
On our side we need to be ready for our appointment to drop the car off. If not then back to the end of the line.

In my experience it's standard for dealerships to stack up cars at the dealership for service however the delay is usually around a week to 10 days. I've not experienced a dealership that lets you keep your car until they day before they begin work on it. Its happened once in a while but generally my cars (Audi / BMW / Alfa Romeo) have gone in a queue on site.

Hmm that hasn’t been my experience with any car. I schedule maintenance and repairs and deliver the car on the arraigned day. Assuming the car is drivable.

must be nice haha. I think Lucid needs to get down to two or 3 days in queue at most. I do agree that same or next day to begin on the car is ideal but possibly a little unrealistic.

yeah, that's been my experience with JLR (Land Rover) were I am. If they don't start looking at it the same day, which is the norm, it's the next morning at the latest.

Yeah check which parts required and then pickup to use it until everything is available. Makes no sense. Even money wise for lucid to give out loaners for they long period

Is this company still in business? I have tried for days to speak to someone at Millbrae in service, and no one picks up. I have tried going through the Customer Service Number, they call Millbrae, and no one picks up for them. My driver door handle broke - it makes a loud grinding noise and the handle won't present, so I have to crawl into my car from the other side. They said that mobile service would contact me within 3 days - nothing, and now their customer service line says they can't do anything until service reaches out (which they're not doing). There are 0 appointments available for the next 3 months. As someone who has been a big proponent and evangelist for the brand, they are completely torching any good will.

Have you left a message at Millbrae? I’ve gotten calls back fairly recently. Did have to leave a message.
