ios version 2.19.0 released 10/28/2026

Or they could just fix it on their 5th attempt.

Interestingly, the Car and Driver report had the same issue in the Pure that was fixed by replacing some module. In their four attempts on mine, why hasn’t Serviced replace that module? They keep replacing my door handles.
Sounds like you will have 50% of a new Air at this pace

Wow this thread has gone way off topic :)

Anyway, I've now had the new iPhone app installed for 24 hours, and can report that key functionality has been 100% better. It recognizes me each time I walk up to the car, and even passed the Costco test today (for some reason, it never used to work at Costco especially if people were watching me walk up to my car, only to find it wouldn't unlock for me). Today it unlocked immediately. Also, I'm noticing that it no longer unlocks and locks like crazy when I'm in the home office next to the garage. They have definitely made some big changes that work nicely with the iPhone 18 pro.

Of course, your mileage may vary.... and since it's Lucid, this may completely stop working tomorrow.

I’m confused what is the connection between the iOS phone app and key fob functionality?
Updating the iOS app would not make a difference in how well your key fob works.

Sorry for confusion. I am used to referring to my iPhone as my car key since my Tesla worked flawlessly with the iPhone as a key since 2018. I dont ever use the FOB or the card key. For me, it's the iPhone or nothing, and this update seems to have really helped.

Lucid doesn’t have phone as key yet. It’s just remote start/lock and unlock. The ability for the Gravity to do this depends on the cell signal in the area you’re in. I’ve been using it since it was released and have never used the fob in 10 months. It seems to be worse with the latest app update. I’ll be standing there for minutes waiting for the app to connect when I had no issues prior to the update. I’ve been back to using my keycard more.

Yeah I think they wanted to get it working on Air first? If you turn off your wifi on your phone, it will connect to the car much faster for some reason. (tip)

I watched a Lucid documentary today and thought of you, I can't believe Rawlinson made off with 380 million dollars.
If it’s the one posted to Reddit, that was definitely not a documentary, lol.

Also, rawlinson made off with what was agreed to before he made off with it. He didn’t swindle anyone; he hit the board’s goals. That they were the wrong goals is a problem, yes, but I’d argue not entirely his.
