Dang maybe I should go back to physical keys to preserve my phone.

I noticed that too yesterday and turned off background activity. Mine was higher than yours...over 40% of my battery usage.

Mine has been using more than usual since the last mobile app update. I think the efforts to help those with mobile key issues may be leading to the app asking for background processes more aggressively, eating more battery.

It seems to want to use location more, for sure.

It’s likely a new bug that isn’t releasing something.

I barely use my Lucid mobile app these days, and I’m currently at 12%. Look at the on screen vs background time.

It might be a good idea! Physical keys can reduce wear and tear on your phone and can be more reliable for certain tasks. Plus, they don't drain your phone's battery. Consider keeping both options available for convenience and longevity.

I definitely noticed a sizable battery loss with the Lucid app running in the background. Now I enabled Location only when using the app, and battery life is back to normal. I am thinking it'll impact the mobile key, but I tend to keep a key fob with me whenever I go out.

Coming from a Tesla and this seems crazy to me. I never had a battery loss issue like I have with the Lucid app. I don’t think I’ve been below 30% in forever with the Tesla app but now I’m routinely completely out of battery by 8pm.

Has this always been the case with the Lucid app or is this just a blip with the recent update?

I just checked and Lucid has used 1% of my battery life over the last 10 days 🤷‍♂️

So 2.1 is still crushing my battery. It’s all the lucid app and location. If I set it to only use location when app is running, I just get a location icon permanently in my Dynamic Island, so it’s not really any better. It’s constantly the top battery hog on my phone, currently at 25% of usage

Are you spending a lot of in close proximity to a vehicle you have linked? There are suspicions that this is a primary culprit in determining some of these background usage discrepancies.

Define close? I’m typically always within 60 feet of it, as my garage is below my house’s main hallway. Ironically, I can never get the car to wake up at home though

That falls within the definition of close for this issue. Kill the app when you're not actively using it if you're that close to the car, as that is highly likely to be the cause of all the background usage.
