According to the AFDC, as of last quarter there were 10,493 CCS DC fast charging ports in the USA. 1000 DC fast charging stations that can supply 800V would be about 10%.When NEVI funding kicks in, 800V charging stations will be the norm.
Until then, there are about 1,000 charging stations in the US that do 800V charging. That's only 2%.
But I'm very skeptical of the 1000 station figure Vicor provided. I've never been to a CCS station of 150kW or higher that couldn't supply 920V (so far all Electrify America and EVGo). Lucid stated in a video that only a few older 50kW CCS stations are limited to 450V (and of course, all of Tesla's network).
