Interested in Previewing Future Lucid Air Software?

Clearly, UX 3 should be release only when it is ready.

My take is, if Lucid is just getting owner's inputs tomorrow, it is unlikely it is ready for prime time.

If past events like this are an indication, they are not just taking user input at the beginning of a project.

They are much more likely showing off something that is just about complete.

I just drove my brother's Gravity GT (which I had convinced him to get :xD) this morning on 3.6.4. I think there's still a lot of scope for improvement in terms of usability, ease of finding information and overall UI polish.

Is there a thread or forum where Lucid is taking feedback on software? I know there were some SW feedback emails shared previously, but I am looking for something where I can get back and refine my thoughts, and not just a one-time one-way communication.

Unfortunately if anyone did share, not only would they be at personal legal risk, it would also make it very likely no one gets any chances like this in the future.

Presumably if there was more to share it would come from Lucid not the participants. As owners we should consider the company's willingness to share this information, even with a limited audience, to be very positive.

Had I attended such an event, I could hypothetically assure you you’d probably like what was coming, but that would require disclosing I had signed an NDA, which would usually be against the terms of the NDA.

I bet whatever they showed will be a solid release though, and I bet they got some good feedback from the folks who were there.

My issue is with access. These events only work for owners who can get to the Bay Area, so someone in DFW or Europe can be picked and still not make it.

That part is easy to fix. Livestream some of the session. Post a highlight video afterwards. Run a virtual Q&A for owners who can't travel. Rotate future events across regions, Europe included.

Separate from the events, keep all owners informed as a matter of course: what's coming in UX 3.0, roughly when, and what's still in progress. Right now the only way to learn anything is to read a thread like this one and hope someone is allowed to talk.

Someone in DFW or Europe would likely not be picked, as location was a question and while you could drive up from LA or similar (as others have done in the past) it is unlikely you would do so from further away. You’re right that events like these are geographically limited.

That would be an announcement, which is likely material for a public company. Having a few people come by under NDA (hypothetically) is not.

That’s a lot of work and coordination, and HQ is where the staff is that could use the feedback. I’d love for them to do this, but bigger fish to fry today.

Making “every owner feel part of the program” is quite literally orthogonal to the point of events like this. It very intentionally wasn’t for every owner, as that would, again, be an announcement, not a small user group / study / ask for feedback.

What you’re asking for isn’t crazy, and is just better marketing. I agree with your desires.

It’s just wholly separate from this event or events like it, and unrelated, imho.

And yes of course a small group is best for this sort of thing, and in person is especially useful for free flowing discussion. Knowing there are plenty of Lucid folks in the Bay Area, I’m happy to let the locals be a representative sample of the full far-flung community!

FWIW the initial invite was extended to Air owners and references Air software which suggests it is UX3 related. I have no qualms in the way it was done either.

Marqie is an employee of Lucid and can't on themselves share anything with you, just like they can't hold anything from you if they are told to share.

I hear you, and we can disagree on this one. I asked a polite question of the person Lucid has here to communicate with owners, and I'm glad Lucid is running these sessions at all. If Lucid or the moderators have an issue with my post, I'll hear it from them and respect it. That's all from me on this.
