Grand Touring Gravity
Hello to all the Gravity owners out there,

I'm considering buying a Gravity, away from my lemon law'ed Cadillac Vistiq. I've been reading all the posts on the Gravity. Typically they've been highlighting all the negatives about this vehicle and very few, if any positives. With the recent over-the-air software update, has this [update] eliminated some or many of the shortcomings of this vehicle? I'm looking for peace of mind/reasons to buying a Gravity or conversely reasons to avoid buying one of these vehicles. Thank you all!!

It has gotten much, much better. The next update is going to be even better, from what I hear through the grapevine.

But it’s definitely not perfect yet.
 
Like many I had reservations after months of reading about the bugs and issues other people were having. I took delivery on Friday and have done a lot of driving this weekend, I'll have to knock on wood here for saying this but so far it has been fantastic. I've only encountered two minor bugs so far - the passenger seat reclined fully on startup once which was easily fixed but loading my wife's saved setting and we had the stuck collision warning sound on startup which was fixed by a quick restart before leaving. I've been using the keyfob with no issues at all (not using the auto unlock, I use the buttons), it unlocks and the screens have woken up fine every time.

It's an amazing vehicle. Even my wife thinks it's better than her initial impressions and is in love with it.
 
I have had mine since December 4. While there are still some minor glitches here and there, it is an amazing vehicle. The effortless drive experience, comfort, space efficiency, range capability, sound system and more are really great. I have been a long time Air GT owner and I knew the Gravity would be a good driving vehicle but it is actually a great driving vehicle especially with the Dynamic Handling Package. It will only get better with more OTA updates to come.

The latest update has definitely stabilized things more. I think if the car launched with this version there wouldn’t have been so many complaints on the software. It’s still not perfect but in a much better position with the latest update.
 
I've had mine since June. The car itself is fantastic. The SW had bugs. The most annoying bugs have been fixed with the latest SW version 3.3.20. I am confident they will fix the rest soon.

This feels like a bait post. Most threads, even negative ones, are raving about Gravity's excellence in hardware and performance. There are even dedicated threads for positive feedback. You could not have missed those if you actually read the forum. Every regular poster, myself included, very often states how amazing the car is, you can't miss that unless you are already negatively biased. Software is getting better and already quite usable as it is, some service might be needed, most common seems to be the steering wheel replacement, but I believe Lucid is getting to the root cause of those in the next OTA release or two.
IMO, if you want the Gravity, you wouldn't be talked out of it here, if you don't want it, the forum won't make you want it, you need a test drive for that.
 
 
Had mine for a month now. Mechanically, the only issue is that the second row seat hangs up when you try to move it forward to get 3rd row access. A little assistance with my hand easily gets it moving. This is minor and nothing to rush it into service for right now. Also, mechanically it is a phenomenal experience to drive.

Yes, the latest software upgrade has “for me” eliminated any fob, entry, black screen, etc. issues. So from a being worried that you might get stranded or at least find yourself fumbling through workarounds for 5-10 minutes to get car to start driving, those worries are gone.

However other software issues are still there but totally random. One (most) drives may go perfect with no issues. Then next drive, numerous false error messages. Then next one Dream Drive refusing to engage. Then next drive, everything normal.

yes absolutely really great car, SW is "easy" to fix over time. I compare to my Tesla back in 2017, the Tesla HW / car itself was way worse, but the SW kept improving and adding capabilities. Lucid is far ahead on HW, so they will get there on SW.
 
I took delivery on Friday, 12/19/2025 and thank goodness, I've not had any issues at all, zero, nada, zilch!

At delivery, I noticed that Frunk was slightly misaligned.
Delivery Associate took pictures and scheduled appointment for late January 2026.

Hi Electric, not a bait post but a valid observation. The Lucid salesman suggested that I post this since inquiry about any positive input from others as most people tend to only post the negatives. He suggested that I ask about positives. Thankfully several people have provided me with some good intel. I'm now feeling a lot more comfortable about buying a Gravity as soon as my lemon-law case is resolved.
 
i had a few issues, but overall i'm thrilled with the car.
 
Fantastic car to drive. It is a very comfortable and smooth, the acceleration and handling are top notch. The space for storage and seating is deceptively huge. The DC charging curve is the best in North America. Coming from a Tesla there are only two things I miss from that car- the FSD got really good and functioned well (despite it actively trying to kill me in 2021) and the software was a lot smoother and had very little glitching.

I love my car and would recommend it for anyone willing to put up with a few kinks in the software and are willing to wait for features such as phone as key, car play and autonomous driving

Hi Rick,
We took delivery of our Gravity a couple of weeks ago and truly love the vehicle. We own an Air for 2.5 years and love it as well. The Gravity had 3 minor cosmetic issues (rubber trim and a hard to see paint chip) and a larger issue with a noisy 2nd row seat during adjustments. There were a few SW issues that were addressed with the recent 3.3.20 OTA update . Lucid has been very responsive with scheduling a service appointment to address the issues. The car is everything we expected in terms of driving experience and comfort. My wife loves it, and while not technically gifted, she is adapting to the SW changes from the Air. We usually get a lot of compliments in parking lots regarding the design. It's a gorgeous car like the Air. Take advantage of the recent incentives and place your order today!
