How Gravity handle long parking times?

I bet new owners are driving their Gravities (?) almost every day so it might be hard to get answer to that question now. But I wonder how does Gravity handle being parked and unused for 2 weeks or more. I work from home and it's common for me to not use my car for 2 weeks. I know that some EVs don't handle this well. I've read about Volvo EX90 cases with drained 12V batteries after being parked at airport garage or left plugged to a charger for a multiple days (probably some hardware issue).

I also tried looking how Lucid Airs handle long parking times, but I found nothing on Google. I didn't find anyone complaining so I guess it good?

Tl;dr: it’s fine. lucid suggests you plug it in it left unattended for long time periods, just to be safe, but it’s fine either way.

Thank you. I tried searching the forum, but either the forum search is not the best, or I'm not using the right keywords, or I'm bad at searching in general. Tried stuff like "long parking", "airport parking", "unused", "parked". Only found story about one person who left the car in airport garage for 3 days with some phantom drain (but he was frequently checking the app so probably part of the issue) and some other very rare phantom drain issue where it would eat 1% of battery per hour. So nothing really answering my question.

The Lucid suggestion you're talking about. Is it somewhere in manual? I didn't try studying the manual yet.

Hit advanced search and sort by date, not relevance. I agree it sucks. :)

And indeed it is:
“CAUTION: When the vehicle is not in use for long periods of time, it is necessary to plug it into a charging source and set the charge target to the minimum Daily value (typically 50% state of charge).
The battery pack gradually discharges over time when your vehicle is left parked and unplugged (as with all batteries).”

I just took delivery of my Gravity yesterday, so I will be putting it to the test for long term parking and phantom drain. I’m an airline pilot, so my car will sit at the airport for days at a time. I will let you know what I see. I’ve had many Tesla’s and a few Rivians and the drain hasn’t been an issue. My Model 3 sits at an airport for weeks at a time with no real issue. The longest it sat between uses was about 35 days leaving it at 75%, I came back to about 50% I believe. Hopefully Lucid will be similar.

Im a retired pilot as well. Always had Teslas until this summer. I found the Tesla would drop about 8-10 miles per day of range when parked in the summer. That increased to 12-15 miles per day in cold weather. I've only had the Air for a couple of months but anecdotally it seems the phantom drain is about half of what Tesla's was. I don't have any hard numbers to back that up, just general observation.

Ok, that’s hopeful. Your Tesla’s dropped that much? I leave Sentry off, so maybe that’s why mine barely drain. I’ve gotten a few dings and I wished I had Sentry on, but it wasn’t worth the trade off of drain I guess. If Lucid has that much less drain, that will be great. As of now, I can’t imagine Halo secure is draining much power, because at least o the gravity, there is no way to view it I don’t think.

That’s correct. Halo Secure, at the moment, doesn’t use the camera feeds. Eventually, and at that point the drain may change, possibly.

I just took delivery of my Gravity a week ago. I have found that it loses about 5% charge over 24 hour periods while parked in my garage in Brooklyn. I've disabled the Autolock/Unlock. The key fob is kept over 50 feet away from the car. I've turned off the Bluetooth on my phone. Temps have been in the 30s and 40s. Is this normal?

I’m in Manhattan with a warm garage (70s), it loses 0% in a week.

The cold temps might be an issue for you but 5% seems excessive.

I have proximity off and too far away for fob to reach vehicle.

I’m parking outdoors in Brooklyn and barely notice any battery loss on a daily basis. Well under 1% per day. So something going on with your vehicle.

I do have proximity auto lock/unlock enabled. But car far enough from fob that it only detects when we actually want to use the car.

It took a while on my Tesla Model Y to figure out the cause of battery drain over long periods. We've learned that turning off three things does the trick. (Sentry security cameras, Cabin overheat, and Smart Summon) By turning off these 3, there is ZERO battery drain over long term parking. This is a common concern for airport parking.
I'm hopeful we can determine how to get a Gravity down to zero drain for long term parking.

Turning off WiFi finally did the trick for me. No more battery drain. To recap, I turned off autolock/unlock, I turned Bluetooth on my phone back on, the key fob is kept over 50 feet away from the car (not in a Faraday box/bag), and I turned WiFi off.

If you have a charger, just leave the Gravity plugged in.

so...wanted to dredge this up as I will be driving to Newark airport from the Philly burbs in March and will have long term parking for a week and again in September for 16 days (but PHL)

any tips on what to put the settings at to lower drain?

Thanks @BrianBigNFun - I have the same question. I'll be parking at Dulles Airport for 7 days, first week of February. It will obviously be cold.
I'm not aware of anything to turn off (unlike our Tesla). Does anyone else here have experience leaving the Gravity unplugged for 7 days in the cold?

I just left my Air unplugged for two weeks in the cold, no issues most maybe 1-2% a day sitting.

Same, longest I left our Air Touring was at the Chicago O'Hare airport for 4 days in 30 deg weather, we lost about 3% charge.
