My car is pretty terrible at staying straight when one line disappears to allow for a cross road or an on/off ramp. Basically what happens is instead of staying 2 ft (or whatever) from the dashed line, it follows the solid line as the line darts away or something. Either way, it quickly jerks to the side (happens to both left and right).

It just seems the car needs to realize that if a line disappears, to follow the line that is still present.

Yes. In my experience that is common for version 1.0 ADAS software. My 2018 Model 3 did this rather violently for the first year of so I had it. An OTA eventually fixed it. I'm assuming Lucid's software will undergo a similar process of refinement.

My 2018 BMW 530e had this issue as well. I occasionally see this happening but much less so in my 2023 GV60P. I believe @DeaneG is correct.

My '23 Air GT tended to ping pong on roads with wider lanes, I don't use that feature anymore

The current version also struggles in certain freeway merges and temporary construction zone areas where dotted lanes appear or disappear. Best to override when you see these coming than relying on HA to make the choice.

I would be very happy if my Lucid, down the road, performs as well as my BMW i5. On mapped highways, it truly behaves like a champ, the best I've ever experienced.

Are you saying the i5 behaves like a champ?

Well hopefully that refinement comes soon. Definitely dangerous to use on highways with many crossroads.

Yes, on mapped highways it was flawless when I tested it. Totally hands free with no nags at all.
nags would be great! back before the kooks abused tesla AP1 I could drive for a long time without a nag, then in a later tesla with AP2.x the nags came every mile or so, and the Lucid nags so often that it renders the system useless.
