Also happened to me a few weeks ago, ‘23 GT at 12,700 miles. I was in the lease extension period. The SF service center was swamped so it wasn’t going to be fixed anytime soon, and there were no Lucid loaners.
I didn’t want my (now month-to-month) lease payment going toward an Enterprise Altima for weeks. So I just returned the car from the lease a couple of months earlier than I wanted to.
I was hoping to get into another Air at the end of March when my extension was up. This event gave me pause though. I can handle some snafus and glitches, as long as the service/repair process is really painless, with prompt turnaround and/or Lucid loaners available if the car is needed longer. It was that way when I got my car in early 2024– a genuinely premium experience. But clearly things have changed.
So I haven’t pulled the trigger on a replacement. If my car would have failed in December I probably would have snagged one of the nice deals that came up then. But now the offers just aren’t compelling, and I guess I’ve lost my loyalty credit to boot, lol. So not sure where I will end up.
