I wonder if the pitch of this noise is in the same frequency range as the constant Tinnitus I have ringing in my head 24/7?
I can clearly hear the noise when I crank up my headphones a bit, and it turning off and on at your timestamps. That would drive me crazy too. Have you contacted Lucid about this or heard of any resolution?@Cosmo Cruz @borski - OK, call me crazy but I recorded it in my parked car. Microphone was nestled in the driver door forward set of window switches.

The noise is plainly audible to me. It's at ~7848 Hz and you can do your own FFT on my recording and look at the spectrum to verify. Headlights/window switch lights were on at the start. I turn them off at about 13.5 seconds, on again at 20 seconds, and off again at 27 seconds.
Yes, reported to Lucid Customer Care. Mobile tech disconnected one set of window switches in my driver door which helped. A week or so ago when my car was at the service center for the sound tape TSC, I asked about it and no resolution yet. I'm glad @outofspeckyle is pressing the issue with them.I can clearly hear the noise when I crank up my headphones a bit, and it turning off and on at your timestamps. That would drive me crazy too. I'm looking at possibly buying a LAT 2025 very soon, but discovered this headlight noise issue from Out of Spec's video on their 2025 Air, which brought me to this forum post. However, now I'm having hesitation because both my partner and I are quite sensitive to high-pitched noises like that.
As suggested above, go test drive a Touring and while sitting in the car before driving, turn on the headlights and see if you hear the high pitched noise. I cannot un-hear it but my recent audiology testing tells me that my hearing is excellent for my age so very possible that not everyone hears it or is bothered by it. It’s encouraging to hear that they are at least taking the issue seriously and trying to fix it. I appreciate the response! I’ll definitely do a headlight sound test tomorrow when I visit the Lucid Studio, thanks!Yes, reported to Lucid Customer Care. If I were you I'd sit in an Air, turn on the headlights, and see if you notice it. I think a lot of people can't.

Thanks for reporting back! This makes me want to do the same next time I have a chance to drop by a studio...maybe newer window switches don't have this problem. I hear the noise while driving at night so it definitely doesn't have to be dead silent.@Nitemist , @idiot900,
Just reporting back after my lucid studio visit. I sat in the showroom car (2025 air touring, with all doors closed) and flipped the headlights, brights, and parking lights on/off but could not hear the high-pitched ringing sound. The showroom had some people talking, so unless it has to be dead silent around the car, I didn’t hear it. I did hear the noise @idiot900 recorded using my headphones at higher volume, so either this car didn’t have it, maybe it was too loud outside the car, or I just can’t hear it in person.
Man, what a jerk. Here I was living in blissful ignorance of this noise and you go and bump this thread and bring it to my attentionI’m glad I searched this before starting a thread. I’ve always just assumed this was the headlights themselves, and wondered if they were powered by high voltage for some reason. I find the noise extremely noticeable, especially with short bursts of headlights-on, like going under an overpass during the day
I have found it to be related to the steering. Any pressure on the wheel right or left initiates the high pitched whine. Driving on a crowned road means the whine is constant.. It’s only silent when the steering wheel is dead center.hi there!! has anyone noticed and/or solved the high pitched “ringing” noise coming from the interior of the car just being “on” - i’ve concluded it is not from the motor.
with this new update, it helped with pinpointing it’s actually coming from the headlights/lighting system… but i’m not exactly sure “why” though? i’ve always generally heard when electrical systems are “on” but this is the first i’ve heard it from a car with i’m going to do some digging here in a bit but wanted to see if anyone knew anything
That’s weird. I have not been able to notice any such noise related to steering. What does service have to say?I have found it to be related to the steering. It’s too far down the list of issues to even bring up. I’ll let them know as they haul it away for the other issues. I can make mine squeal with just a little wheel turn while the car is sitting still. Vehicle is currently inoperable. I’ve owned 30 or 40 cars over the last 60 years. I’ve had more problems with this one in 2 1/2 months then all the others combined. Glad my lease is only 18 months. Regret that I have 15 remaining. That’s weird. Sorry to hear it. Not representative of my experience, but that doesn't help you. Hope they fix things (and credit you for the missing time spent in repair?)It’s too far down the list of issues to even bring up. I’ll let them know as they haul it away for the other issues.
