HELP! Need advice. Do I buy a 26 Gravity GT?

Totalled my Rivian R1S Quad and so bummed. (Airbags didnt even deploy). Damaged ONE quarterpanel and boom. Thinking about Gravity lease w all the incentives.... BUT, after reading all the forums do i even bother? Does ANYONE LOVE their Gravity? or are even 'satisfied'? I REALLY like what i hear on the ride and range (Rivian sucked at both - but it WORKED. Never bricked. And I bought the first one avail in Florida at launch - preordered on DAY 1 when announced).
ANY advice helps!!

Ours Gravity GT been great, exceeding expectations. My wife, not a car person, also likes it very much and has commented spontaneously several times that she's glad I got it.
We haven't had a single problem with it other than having to reboot the infotainment once in a while, which I can live with as its software improves.
 
I understand exactly what you’re going through. I just signed off on an order for a ‘26 white 7 pax GT. We have a backup vehicle so we felt we would be safe somewhere between the cutting edge and the bleeding edge. This is my first post after lurking for the last year. I’ll report on delivery and subsequent adventures in Lucidland. My advice: goforit if you have backup.
 
We love our gravity GT! 5k miles in and we continue to be impressed with ride quality, range, and handling. We just drove back from Tahoe through a brutal storm and passed dozens of stranded SUVs and trucks. Our gravity , without chains and with all season tires, had zero issues in the mountains - it was amazing to drive with confidence through that mess.

3hrs in, with a continuous heated massage going, my wife randomly wakes up and says ‘this is a really nice car. What a perfect choice for us.’ That was huge validation coming from her.

I'm not having all the problems a lot of posters on here seem to have:
My fob works 98% of the time; only needed a key card once...
Screens have always worked..zero reboots in nearly the first month of driving it..
I haven't noticed how quiet the ride is because the sound system is so awesome.
The thing is lightning quick and handles curvy mtn roads like a sports car!
And... it charges as fast as my wife's Taycan.

Heck, coming off driving 6speed stick shifts for years and years I thought I'd have issues adapting but I got used to one pedal driving (Regen on High/set on Hold) pretty quickly and now feel I have very precise control over the vehicle despite how friggin' heavy it is.
Enjoy switching drive modes and ride heights often: Sprint/Lowest for curvy roads, Swift/Low for boring straight hwys, and Smooth/High for old thrashed uneven pavement or bumpy off-road and set it to Highest when parking to avoid scraping the bottom of the doors on curbs

It's fun!!

Curious which tire/wheel size you have.
I opted for the 20/21's and am wondering about how the Hankook Ion A/S's will do in the snow?...they're not 3PMSF rated but they do have the M + S rating.
 
Love my Gravity! Almost 18k miles on it and it's been an absolute blast for daily commute or road trips! It has issues, like every car but the experience has been far and large excellent and getting better with updates and all. Those of us having a great time with our cars aren't posting about it constantly bc it gets boring for folks after a while. Whereas if you have issues, you are angry and will often not get enough of complaining to anyone who will listen bc (rightly so) you want it to be made right. i think you'll find most are enjoying their Gravity and you will too.
 
We love ours as well. I took delivery about 1 month ago, just after a major software release that fixed a lot of the bugs you hear some complaining about. I took two trips this week covering over 500 miles combined, and it was flawless. A lot of curvy roads were handled with ease, and the ride quality and quietness is awesome. It is not perfect, but it is rapidly moving in the right direction. My Wife loves it. I'm very glad I took the plunge.

We have the 20/21 Hankooks. I was a little nervous initially getting up to speed on a freeway covered in snow. Something I saw on the OutofSpec winter video was the ability of the car to quickly adjust any slippage of any tire and regain traction with the others (something like 1000x/sec adjustments). This exact scenario played out on the highway. At 25-40mph on a partly plowed highway , occasionally the drivers side tires would have to power through snow and plow drifts on the left side of the road. They would briefly slip, then recover, in a split second. The car never lost direction or speed. It just kept going and held true to its lane. I was passing lots of SUVs going 10-15mph, several of which I saw spin out.

We had a model X (before our GGT) that wasn't terrible but it was not as capable on snow covered roads. And we rented a Kia EV9 in Colorado this year that was sliding all over the place. That was scary.

Get it, they’ve fixed most software issues. It drives amazing!

Are you near enough to a Lucid Studio and Service Center?
 
We got a 2026 Gravity GT in December with very few issues. Four software updates have addressed most of the minor issues. It's now pretty rare for us to get a "false error" and we haven't had an unlock/entry issue since the end of December update. My few service items (frunk opening, 2nd seat rails) have been taken care of in my driveway by an excellent mobile tech. My wife and I both love the car. It really comes close to a "no compromises" vehicle for us. Luxurious interior. Lots of space. Quiet in operation. Great energy efficiency. Cheap to operate. Plenty of room to carry stuff. Drives like a sports car. Is routinely the fastest car in whatever parking lot we find ourselves in. Rare enough that people spontaneously come up to ask you about it. I mean, be real with yourself that it's a bit of a risky purchase, but if you're not abnormally unlucky it will be the most impressive car you ever owned. No regrets.

Very happy with our GGT. Had it for 8 months. It’s our only car. Awesome for road tripping. Some software quirks for sure but still can’t recommend enough. If ours was totaled today, I’d be calling my salesperson at Lucid same day to reserve a new one asap.

I absolutely love my Gravity!!!

Not sure if you've perhaps focused in on the negative comments posted to the forum or what, but there are definitely happy owners on here.
I'm proudly one of them!

There are a few threads with posts specifically about how much some owners love their Gravities.
 
I've had my Gravity GT for three weeks and love it so far.

I've been an EV owner since Dec 2021, beginning with a 2022 Tesla S which I traded for a Tesla X in March 2024 because I needed extra space. I loved both Teslas and actually considered going back to a Model S because I missed the added range.

Then Tesla announced they were discontinuing both their flagship S and X to dedicate that factory to building robots. That was a sign (for me, anyway). I test drove a Lucid Air last year (before the Gravity was available) and was very impressed. I just wasn't ready to make a move.

Fast forward to February of this year and I'm starting to look at new EV options, and Lucid reached out and offered to bring a Gravity to me for a home drive. Once I drove it, I knew I wouldn't be sacrificing comfort, ride quality, space , etc and the added range was a big plus. In fact, it drives better than both the Tesla S and X. Not to mention all the incentives and a very good trade in offer for my Tesla X.

There are a few Tesla features that I miss (not FSD) that I think Lucid will eventually have through software updates. I'm still getting used to my Gravity, but all in all, after three weeks I'm very happy.

I'd forgotten that we did have a single problem - the center console USB ports aren't working properly. Mobile service is scheduled to have a look next week.
Just following up for completeness and honesty.

I'd 100% buy Gravity again tomorrow.
