Has anyone removed/ changed their puddle lights? If so, is it a standard plug in?

Looking to customize my puddle lights and I wanted to see if anyone else has done it already before I start popping door panels

I have. If I would have known what a pain in the butt it was i probably would have not even attempted it. But it is doable. It just takes a recoding from your mobile service tech.
Each light is coded to each door. So if you pull them out be sure to mark their location.

No need to pop door panels. You can remove them out with a pocket screwdriver from under the door. If you can't get it from one side switch to the other. Unfortunately the white harness is extremely short so use that same pocket screwdriver to push on the tab to unplug the light.

I tried to replace the lights in the frunk to see if I could get something brighter in there, popped off the cover and realized it was just a board with an led on it instead of a bulb so I gave up.

Lucid uses the same lights in the trunk as well as the frunk. Plus the puddle lights in all four doors. They all need to be programmed for their specific location.
Yah they are not very bright and I am not a fan of that amber color. I much prefer the modern LED daytime light. So I was thinking of trying to replace the amber led with a cluster Daytime 6000k Led chip.
I was going to leave the Lucid chip intact but remove just the amber LED from the circuit board and solder in my own. So we will see how that goes.
