I am very close to pulling the trigger on getting a Touring or GT with 19"/20" tires but I am very concerned about getting in and out of the garage because we have quite a steep and short driveway into the garage. The SA says I should be able to get in and out without scraping the bottom but I am not so sure. Unfortunately we are currently not there (wont be there until the 28th) and the house is at least a couple of hours from the Studio in Phoenix. So, I am soliciting some feedback from some of you experienced folks about your thoughts. For the Model S, I set the suspension height at max before going in or leaving. Here are a few picture with different angles. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Man, you have not seen my driveway and garage. You’ll be completely fine.

That kind of grade isn’t an issue unless it isn’t flat at the end. If it goes back downhill, then you’d have an issue, *maybe*, but even then you’d probably be fine.

I imagine your garage doesn’t “crest” at the entrance though. :)

But to be clear: you will scrape the bottom at plenty of other driveways, and you’ll learn to use other driveways :)

The bottom is protected by a flat piece of plastic which is meant to absorb those scrapes (and eventually get replaced) but I haven’t had to replace it yet.

Since we’re sharing photos, @LucidDropkick just drove my car home because he is the bestest friend ever (I’m in Wisconsin, long story) and took some photos for me.

Ask them if you can schedule them to bring one to you for a test drive on roads near you. They did for me. Not quite as far as you, but I definitely wasn't close.

I had the same concerns, and as borski said, yup - it's gonna drag here and there. It seems designed in a reasonable way that when it does drag, it doesn't really do any harm. Mine scrapes on just about every steep parking garage entry/exit, and also often the entrance to the parking lot at the train station nearby. Just the belly pan, so nothing's getting yanked or pulled on.
