Gravity Windshield Wipers Screechy?

My passenger side blade has always been super screechy on it's way back down from wiping the window, no matter how wet/dry. I just got an Air loaner and immediately noticed how smooth the blades went over the glass without any screech.

Is it possible mine needs an adjustment or does everyone's Gravity do this? (It did this with new/clean blades, btw)

I had some blade chatter when I first got my Gravity, but it went away after my first car wash. I still plan on replacing them with silicon blades - those are amazing. They still work great after 2.5 years on my other cars - they remain soft and “flip.”

I’m think about using Soft99 Ultra Glaco. Has anyone tried it?

I’ve used Soft99 stuff for years. Glaco is good but it doesn’t outperform RainX

The passenger side Gravity wiper is a huge disappointment. Water squirting out of the blade arm leaves it wet and drippy and those drips blow back up the window and make a friggin' mess! Plus there is a small triangle where the wipers miss. I find myself pulling into gas stations just to clean the windshield.

As others have mentioned, you can greatly improve the performance of wire blades by cleaning them with alcohol ...but that does nothing to change the mediocracy at Lucid that decided the mediocrity in Gravity's wiper system was a good idea on a car with such a massive windshield!

What are you expecting of the wiper design?

There is no vehicle where the wiper covers 100% of the windshield. A small triangle between the driver and passenger is typical of many cars, and I didn’t even give it a second thought. Streaks in the areas the wiper doesn’t cover is expected and also happens on every car.

I did have chatter/bad wiping when I first got my Gravity, but as I mentioned in my earlier post, my first car wash took care of it. I consider cleaning the blades routine maintenance, with every car wash. If the chatter had continued, I would have replaced the blades with my favorite, silicon blades, but so far the stock blades have been fine (9 months in).

Well I don't think anyone expects the wiper to cover 100% of the windshield, but I personally do expect the wipers on a car as "luxury" as Gravity to at least wipe the window better than my lowly Subaru Outback...but they just don't
