Gravity windows now not working

Nope -- didn't know there was a recall on the rear seat belts. Guess Lucid didn't get around to telling me out here in Annapolis, MD!
Lucid Motors is recalling
4,476 Gravity SUVs (2025–2026 models) due to potential failure of second-row seat belt lap anchor welds. These faulty welds, originating from a supplier, may fail in a collision, raising injury risks. Affected owners will be notified by mail by May 22, 2026, and Lucid will inspect and repair or replace the seats for free.

Key Details of the Lucid Recall:
  • Models Affected: 2025–2026 Lucid Gravity SUVs produced before Feb. 14, 2026.
  • The Problem: The second-row outboard lap belt anchor bracket may have insufficient welds, which could cause them to fail during a crash.
  • Safety Risk: The vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS 207 and 210) and might not properly restrain passengers.
  • Remedy: Lucid will inspect the affected vehicles and, if necessary, install a reinforcement bracket with adhesive or replace the entire seat assembly for free.
  • Company Action: This is a physical recall; owners will receive notification letters starting around May 22, 2026.
  • Supplier Issue: Lucid noted the seat manufacturer, Camaco, modified the welding process without approval.

Guess I need to call my friends in Michigan at Customer Care. I feel I know them all individually quite well as I've called them countless times.

Yes … just to make sure

Aha -- Mine was made later -- got it 10/5/2025

I see…. Well my Gravity goes into service next week….
Rear set inspection…
Have U have your rear seat belt inspected yet?

Wasn't there a lucid website showing all recalls? Or am I confused just now 😅

But all produced before 14.02.2026 are affected. So if yours is from 2025 it should be affected and you should have been informed!?did you check your VIN?

Mine works now… just by resetting the car…
🙏🏽
you'll be lucky if that does it. Mine appeared fixed at first but multiple reboots since, no bueno. It has to go in anyways for no FM radio so will get both windows looked at too

They mailed letters.

So I am posting here rather thanstarting a new thread.
Unlock Gravity CGT with fob using walk up unlock.
When front passenger door is opened the front passenger door window goes down leaving 2 Inches exposed.
Pushing down on door switch has no effect.
Pulling up on door switch lowers window all the way into the door.
Once the window is completely lowered I can use the driver switch to raise the window.
If I let go of the switch the window lowers again.
I rhave learned to double tap the drivers switch once the window is raised to keep it closed.
Additional behavior: unlocking the car with the app immediately lowers the window.
We are travelling and so I have an appointment at King of Prussia.
They say they are ordering a regulator to fix the problem.
I have my doubts(full disclosure: I am an electrical engineer specializing in control systems) This seems like a hardware problem possibly exacerbated by less than robust software. I hope that regulator has an embedded control module. I wonder if a misbehaving switch could be the source of the problem.

Anyone know how long it take me to service Gravity in-terms of national rear seat recall?

Mine was very quick, they just added a bracket or something. I understand some need to have the seat replaced though. If its just the bracket it should be quick, if they have to wait for a seat, it could be a while. GL.

An update: I got a call from service at King of Prussia assuring me they have all the parts necessary to rectify the issue. I am now much more confident they will be able to fix the problem in one day. I’ll post here again after the appointment next week.

Issue resolved. King of Prussia service took our Gravity in Tuesday afternoon and returned it by 10 Wednesday morning. Excellent service experience. The window issue turned out to be a misbehaving switch. They replaced the window control switch on the front passenger door. All issues with the window are resolved.

I have frontier software 3.6.4. and my driver door isn't going back up after door close. It does the window down when I open the door, but when I close it, it doesn't go back up.

So when I'm standing outside and I open the door and close the door, I notice it inch down, and then I open close again. It inches down more.. I can repeat till the window is all the way down.

The switches all work. Rear right passenger door behaves the same.

Mine does same … intermittently. I have to make sure the black foam trim is flush when the front passengers window goes up

This seems like the next big issue that will at some point be fixed by software. Yet they are throwing money at swapping out hardware and even worse yet, adding a lot of extra load to the already backed up service center wait times.
Maybe I'm wrong and just frustrated at the current state of service.
I have an appointment scheduled for the seat recall and an issue where my back seat won't go back any longer. My soonest available appoinyment is in january, 2027!

My rear seat recall and replace took 10 days …

But they brought a flat bed to my house and provided my with a Lucid Air… Richmond VA is the closest center to Suffolk VA. I have only seen 2 other Gravities in my Hampton Roads area.
