Gravity Vehicles Available Online

Don't chop off your nose to spite your face ;)
Nothing currently available comes close to Gravity; just my $0.02.

Despite the delays, I am anxiously waiting for my GGT.
Production was pushed to last week of December 2025 after I changed color from Aurora Green to Stellar White.

It's not just the delays that annoy me, it's the fact that they're obviously able to build Gravity with what looks like every single option but are for whatever reason choosing to build them in combinations that don't meet customer orders. We haven't decided to bail just yet but I'm honestly tired of being told a rough timeline that's never met - I've been told my order would go into production in 30-45 days several times since July which has never happened and now that's changed to being told they "should have more information near the end of next month" (meaning December). While I took the estimates with a grain of salt at the time based on reading the forums here it's still annoying to be told that over and over when it just wasn't true.

I'm not the only one, I've been in the studio a few times since I placed my order and have heard the sales people there tell other people that orders take 30-45 days to go into production as late as October when I was last there (when they were also telling people to check the available inventory first, the times before that the inventory wasn't up on the site yet).

In the words of Ferris Bueller…
"It's so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.”

The solution is a) not to ask for timing and b) have zero expectations. No one at Lucid (to whom us normal folks have access) can give you accurate timing. It’s just the way it is right now. I know that’s not super useful, but I went into this knowing I’d get a Gravity…at some point. I experienced the same challenges with early Tesla and Rivian and just decided as IMPOSSIBLE as it is/was to wait, I’d wait (until I finally “bit” on an inventory car 3+ months ago and DID compromise by not getting power - which I don’t miss, getting platinum and getting the 21/22 versus 20/21).

There is absolutely no EV (maybe no ICE either…) like the Gravity. Call me a fan person or whatever, but having it now and being able to compare it to our R1S, X, a friend’s iX, etc. Worth the wait, the fob challenges, etc.

I don't ask for timing, my SA has taken it upon themselves to send text updates unprompted a few times with those estimates. And, as I said, they constantly tell potential new customers the same thing in the studio to get them to order.

I get it. SAs are great and many seem less than great. It’s unfortunate they’re giving out incorrect or guesstimate data. The interesting part about pushing orders is, as I understand it, the SAs get commission quarterly based on deliveries. That could be totally wrong, but I am quite certain they don’t get paid for a refundable order. Only when it’s delivered.

I guess my point was - just ignore it. And if you’re not going to compromise (I do get the irony here), I’d recommend ignoring the inventory cars too.

Insanely frustrating. At the same time, you’ll get exactly what you want. Unfortunately, can’t get it now and get what you want. I don’t have any good reason or defense. It’s just the reality we’re seeing. Hope yours does get to production soon!

I haven't read every message to this point, but I see people expressing the same frustration I felt.

You can read my story here in the order thread, but it boils down to I ended up canceling because they would sell a Gravity to someone who walked in off the street, but wouldn't give me more than a 15 minute highway test drive where I'm supposed to see how well it handles? To make that situation even worse...

When I signed up for an "exclusive" test drive in May where only order holders could experience it, I had to wait 2 hours because they were running behind schedule because people kept wandering in from the mall and getting signed up for a test drive in front of me. They were so pressed for time that I got a <5 minute, 4 stop light, around the block drive.

When I finally signed up for one of the hour-long test drives that they started offering over the summer, I gave them a few weeks to get through the initial backlog and then asked if I could do an extended test drive. No, they don't do that. So, I signed up for one of the hour slots. When I got there a couple had just walked in and asked about a test drive and they gave them one despite my appointment. I ended up getting a 15 minute "down the highway and back" test drive. It even ended before my scheduled appointment was over so it wasn't just because they were giving a test drive to someone else in my time slot - they never intended to give me more than 15 minutes in the first place despite the hour long scheduling slots.

But, the crown jewel on my story was that they didn't give me my deposit back because when I decided to cancel suddenly it was in production, nearly a year after taking said deposit.
So, my recommendation is - if you want your car to go into production, log on to cancel it... ;)

Very sorry about the crappy test drive experience. I do know several folks who have had test drives that lasted at least an hour. I understand your comments and am sympathetic, especially about the deposit, which I think is petty and myopic on Lucid’s part. But I don’t think you can say “never intended” to give you an hour test drive. Poor planning and organization may be worse than intentional misconduct, but I am fairly sure the former has, and probably still is, a key issue for Lucid. Scaling is a b-tch - and that includes SAs, training customer service folks, etc.

Sorry to hear about your test drive experience. Maybe I was lucky, walked into Lucid without appointment, they confirmed I had a deposit for the Gravity & offered me a solo test drive with no time limitation. Having to test drive without a SA sitting with me reaffirmed my decision on my deposit & extremely happy to move forward with the purchase.

Not a good experience but……don’t deprive yourself of this amazing vehicle for this reason.

Check out this Rivian review….looks like it’s cramped, noisy, handles very bad…..

I'm not a fan of Rivian's jeep-ish styling, but I do think they make fantastic cars.

I'm not depriving myself of anything. I'm sure Gravity is good. I'm sure I would have been happy with it had it been available when I needed a new car. It was the most direct replacement for my old Model X as you can get from any of the high end EV manufacturers. And it really seems to be an amazing car.

But so is the Polestar (albeit in a different category).

I am not as sure that if I had cross-shopped and had to choose between the Polestar and the Gravity, assuming both available at that time, which I might have chosen. I might have thought, at the time, that the 3rd row would be a big factor and would have likely not even looked at the Polestar. But after looking at the Polestar thinking I was getting a "temporary so it doesn't have to meet all my needs" vehicle, and having lived with a its standard 5 seat layout for the past 8 months I can safely say that the extra 2 seats must not have been very important as I don't miss them. (And no, a 5 seat Gravity isn't interesting to me - if I'm only going to have room for 5 I want a smaller car, I'm not in the moving fridges business.) I was actively considering owning both for a while, but a whole host of Lucid self-inflicted buzz kills made me reconsider that. (This issue with just selling the cars on the web site while so many long-term reservation holders are still waiting being one of them.)

When I took delivery of the Polestar I had direct knowledge that it drove amazingly well. Why? Because when I went to look at it the salesman said "here's the key, do you need me to explain anything about the car? No? Then go have fun." That's how you sell a car, not by ignoring a reservation for almost a year, expecting them to take your word for how well the vehicle meets their needs, and continually ignoring the customer while they wait.

Personally, I've stopped wondering how good the Gravity is at this point. I have a great car *BECAUSE* of their lack of execution, and I don't need another car right now so I'm not going to sweat it any longer. For those of you that had no deadline to meet - I'm sure you are going to really love your Gravity! And if they hadn't over-promised and then fumbled all over my needs, I'm sure I would have been a happy Gravity owner as well! Really, my unfortunate deadline just set all of this in motion and led me to being happy with something else...

I drove the Polestar 2 as a rental, hated it, my head was bobbing all over the place. Not sure about the newer models. Polestar also has a lot of issues with software, much more than Lucid. And they are financially in a very bad place. Lucid at least has an oil rich country backing them to profitability. Polestar has Chinese Geely but not sure how much they can support.

Nothing beats the Gravity…….its in another level.

Another huge drop of cars. There were 268 last night, 288 earlier this morning and now there are 397 Gravity available.

I just looked at available and 2 weeks and counted only 25, 26 rows. That's like 3x 25= 75.
What did I do wrong not to see the 397 available?

The website will only load a maximum of 72 (24 rows x 3 per row = 72) no matter how many are available. If you use the mobile site and filter down it'll give you the same results, if there are more than 72 it just says 72+. I was automating it but it keeps breaking so I load the mobile site in Chrome and filter down until I get less than 72 results and add them up. The total at 4:00 PM Pacific was 394. (I really need to automate it again but my code kept breaking and I just didn't feel like troubleshooting it).

Filters I used to get that number:
5 passenger, 12 way seats: 54
5 passenger, 18 way seats, platinum: 40
5 passenger, 18 way, stealth, surreal sound: 64
5 passenger, 28 way seats, stealth, surreal sound pro: 41
5 passenger total: 199

7 passenger, 12 way seats: 57
7 passenger, 18 way seats, platinum: 30
7 passenger, 18 way, stealth, surreal sound: 65
7 passenger, 28 way seats, stealth, surreal sound pro: 43
7 passenger total: 195

Total Gravity: 394

Probably several other ways to filter to get totals but this was what I found was quickest as I've had to add more filters when the inventory increases past the filter limit and then I've just been plugging them in to a spreadsheet for my own amusement mostly.

Got it.
Staggering number, indeed.
Was scratching my head on this, wondering if the site is blocked by my security software or something.
Thanks.
P.S.
I didn't see Orion Stealth, 21-22' wheels as an option to choose. What's up with that? Supply chain issue?

Is this available now or this it include future availability

In one of these recent drops, I finally spotted an available vehicle that meets our exact specs---we were somewhat flexible on exterior color---and now it will supposedly be delivered by the end of the month. It all feels very sudden after waiting so long since placing our order last December (not to our "Bridge to Gravity" lease on an Air Pure, signed well before Gravity orders opened).
