Updated last night and power cycled etc after the update finished.

Not sure what the rest of you are experiencing related to your key fob, but I’m skeptical about any key fob improvements. After dropping my kid off at school I had to stand next to the drivers door and repeatedly press the unlock button on the key fob to get the car to unlock the doors.

To be fair, I’m pretty sure this update does nothing for the key fob and even if it did, I have zero expectation that the underlying issues with the reliability would get fixed. If anything, the expectation is that there will always be issues with new issues being created.

Going to replace my key fob battery now which is also another joke Lucid created for themselves for trying to reinvent something that was already better than their current solution.

Lucid did not reinvent anything here. They purchased access control hardware from Marquardt, one of the oldest automotive suppliers around and a supplier to many other high end automakers. The trope that Lucid reinvented something access control is simply not true.

yeah the key fob finally working. for me its night and day ... suddenly this thing actually opens before I even get to the driver door.
 
Updated last night. All working fine on drives this morning. Looking forward to next week.

I've seen next week mentioned a couple of times for the next update. Has Lucid confirmed this?

Emad Dlala said there would be two updates aimed at addressing many of the software issues: one in late May and one in July. I am assuming the 3.5.7 "prep" update was the late May update to which he was referring and that the coming feature update will be the July update to which he referred?

I think the 3.5.7 update (which introduced no new features) was actually the switch to the new software platform he mentioned, as some of the glitches in existing features have cleared up in our car -- especially the locking/unlocking issues -- and other posters have said the same.

However, today one of the more annoying glitches we have had returned to one of our Gravities for the first time since the update. The Pilot Screen again partially froze, meaning you could switch between menus but, once inside the menu, could get no response to inputs. When this happens, it also takes out the rotary volume control, the HVAC toggles switches, and both steering wheel thumb pads.

Nick Twork put out last week to expect an update late this week and really rolling out next week.

Yep. I don't think he was talking about 3.5.7 at all bc it isn't the featured update. But I can see that he wasn't totally clear and confusion from there.

Didn’t @marqie confirm 3.5.7 was a prep update for a larger one coming ‘soon’? I thought I saw that somewhere here.

If Dlala wasn't talking about 3.5.7 as the "late May" update as one of the two that were in the pipeline and was instead referring to feature updates, then Lucid missed his deadline, which is not really too surprising as these things go with any company.

He also told me that they were under two roughly equal amounts of pressure from two separate owner groups. One was pressing harder for giving priority to fixing bugs, and one was pressing harder to get promised features activated ASAP.

I am obviously in the former group, as I don't really see the point of wanting additional features until the ones we already have are working reliably. And I fear that the potential of piling new software problems onto existing ones really gets us and Lucid nowhere good.

Maybe original plan was two separate bigger updates - one for ton of bug fixed and then one in July for new features. Because of the pressure from two sides, they do both in the middle of the timeframe 😅

Anyway I just wait and see
 
mine appears to be stuck at 91% for the past 20 minutes. Neat. :rolleyes:
 
Is that on your phone or on the cars screen? If it's a phone reading you might check what the car says. Mine hung at 93% on the phone but on the car the update was finished and booted up normally.

both my connected phones (Android and iOS) say 91%. the car is dark and locked.

I guess I could approach with a fob and see what happens.

Edit: All good and updated. Just the usual connectivity problems I guess. ;)

I just heard from Emad Dlala.

He confirmed that the May update was part of a bigger update coming later, probably in Fall.

He then said the "coming soon update" focuses on reliability and quality but would include "some" good features. I'm not sure whether this meant the Fall update or something else coming in the interim.

My guess is this is about all that can be known at this point, as I'm pretty sure that what ultimately ends up in any update is, in part, a function of what gets completed and tested when. I'm sure they work to a roadmap, but bits and pieces probably get added or removed as work proceeds.

What is clear is that Lucid is still in "all hands on deck" mode on the software front . . . and that Lucid is collecting owner feedback and taking it into account.
 
My update was stuck at 93% for the time that it took me top read every post in this entire thread (an hour?). Just walked out with my FOB and the car unlocked and is operating as normal - even restarted the charge that I had started prior to the update.
 
The percentage complete number is a fiction. It's just there to let you know that something has happened and is still happening.
Lucid could probably improve the accuracy of the displayed percentage complete number, but their time is better spent on developing car software.
