I’m not sure when they received the test drive demo Gravity, but I scheduled my test drive with my SA at Tysons last week. I’m going in this weekend to do a longer test drive. I think you can call the studio or service center to schedule the test drive. I’m not sure if it is restricted to customers with pending orders.

As pointed out elsewhere, just tap the button as if you do want to schedule a test drive, but then don’t actually finish the process. The app will stop asking after that.
 
FYI. Test Drives are available in Chicago - Oak Brook Showroom.
 
They are also available in Tysons to folks with an order, as noted above.
 
Showing available in Miami from 6th.

I got an email Sunday before last (July 27) with a title "Lucid Motors | Gravity has landed" and started "You’ve been patiently waiting — and we’re thrilled to share that the wait is over..... The all-new Lucid Gravity SUV has officially arrived at Tyson's Galleria or Corner showroom. As one of our early sign-ups, you're invited to be among the first to experience Gravity in person."

After reading the first line, I thought it was my notice that my long-awaited car was in production, so it was a massive letdown to know that it was just a test car available....

I got that same email but didn’t notice until someone mentioned Tysons test drives on here…

Still waiting for any update here in NYC but having to plan contingencies if my gravity order doesn't materialize by the time this lease extension is up in late September. I figure a good test drive would help tide us over from making any rash decisions on a Rivian or Cadillac

I just came from mine this past Saturday in Tysons Corner, VA. Let me drive for as long as I wanted with no escort. It was amazing.
 
For anyone living in the Philly area, the KOP Studio has a Gravity available for test drives. Call them directly to schedule a test drive as the web site has not yet been updated to schedule on-line for that location.
 
Test drove in Houston over the weekend. Have a deposit from day one for the wife. She was unimpressed so we are cancelling the order. Sorry Lucid!

Funny, I had test drive in Houston last week. Wife was initially unimpressed with video reviews I showed her but after test drive, she was very impressed and agreed with my order. To each their own. Good news, since I was not an early order, I just moved up in the queue after your cancelation.
 
I had a very useful test drive today - got to test-fit the Gravity in my garage. Looked pretty good!
I've changed my order to Titanium, so I'll be watching everyone else's delivery for a while.
 
Did a test drive today from Costa Mesa Studio. The Gravity demo car at Fashion Island is down for the moment.
We found out a use for the valley behind the 2nd row - my dog LOVED that area to either put her hind quarters into or her entire body in. We call it the "Mocha Valley."
Space was absurdly great. Lots of space for a smallish outside. The Gravity feels small and light driving it. The stereo sounded great as we paired our phone to the car with no issues. USB1 or 2 was a challenge but no deal breaker.
Setting the Gravity to Sprint and low regen resulted in a different affect to the driving with more regen than anticipated. The was different than the Air GT for what that is worth. I will end up driving the Gravity in low regen (maybe need to experiment with high depending) for all drive modes - so something to get used to. This is something I mastered with one pedal driving smoothly with my mother-in-laws Model 3. Power and handling was incredible - nothing needed or desired driving the GT, even though I am getting the DE. Overall, quite nice as the wife loved the test drive as well as my service dog, Mocha. I found out my GDE goes into production (AG GDE, 21"/22") Sept 1 and finishes production on Sept 10. That means should have it by the end of Oct '25 - most importantly, before winter sets in.
 
My wife and I and a friend did a test drive today in GT, AG, Tahoe, 21/22 wheels, no HUD. Here are my honest observations and take away:

Seating/steering position: The Gravity seats you higher in the vehicle than what I'm use to in our EQS SUV (we've owned our Mercedes for 3 years so the Gravity for us is being measured against our EQS SUV.) I did not care for how low the steering wheel is located compared to most other vehicles including our EQS SUV. It felt like I was steering from my lap. I did have a good view of the cockpit display but at the expense of an oddly low position for the steering wheel. I didn't care for the steering position.

Screens: The cockpit display is very nice but it could be brighter. Our test drive was in bright sunlight and it looked washed out at times. The lower screen looked fine, even in bright sunlight.

Wireless phone chargers: both chargers worked in our tester. Even the SA was surprised as he told us they were not yet working. He said the service people were working on them and must got them working.

Regen: I drove mostly in Standard Regen mode which was odd for me since the EQS comes a setting called Intelligent Regeneration which allows the car to coast but will auto brake via region if a slower car is in front or you approach a stop sign or a cross-road. The one pedal driving works as expected in the Gravity but I prefer the Mercedes option.

Visibility: I found the view to be adequate and didn't really notice any issue with the A-pillars.

Fit and finish: The Gravity is a nice looking EV with a good interior but it is not as luxurious as the Mercedes. When we left the Studio to drive home (about an hours drive), the Mercedes feels much more refined and has a better, smoother ride. The Gravity isn't really a luxury car, but it is a very nice car.

So while I realize most on this forum already own a Gravity or have one on order, our test drive today convinced me and my wife that the Gravity is just not right for us. We have another year of warrantee remaining on or EQS SUV so we have time to see what other options may be available. In the end, the test drive confirmed that our Mercedes is an all around better car for our specific needs and wants.

Always good to hear an objective view and appreciate the thoughtful post. This is why they make different EVs, and cars in general.

In general, as I said in a different post (I think), I don’t see the Gravity pulling people from Cadillacs or Mercedes if they already have the EV version of that brands’ offering - generally for some of the reasons you noted.

Hope you continue to enjoy the EQS and more EVs come on the market as well. That will benefit us all!

Hmm...that seems fast. Are you hearing production only takes 10 days? I keep hearing more like 20-23 days to get fully through and ready for delivery. I'd love it if you were right, though. lol
 
Luxury is subjective. Some people prefer the subdued luxury of a Volvo EX90 while others want the bling of a Bentley. Being that I have two Mercedes in my garage, a GLE63 AMG and an E450 convertible, based on my limited time in Gravity test drive last week, I would easily equate the Gravity to my GLE63 and definitely ahead of the E450 (E class uses more plastic and not as much real leather in interiors.) One thing I noted on the Gravity was the heft/weight of things like the shift/turn signal stalks, A/C vent controls and center console arm rest. I felt ride comfort was comparable to my air shock equipped GLE63 but the Gravity was less floaty and more precise handling.

All that being said, if my GLE was still under warranty, I would probably wait another year also and let these early model issues resolve themselves. As they say, different strokes for different folks. No one car is going to meet everyone’s needs, that is why we have hundreds of different models on the market.
