So, I've had my GGT for a few weeks now, and I have to say that I'm disappointed that the "Stealth" look is very light. I almost think Lucid made a mistake and put a Platinum body treatment at the top corners.

From the Car Designer, here's the two in the options panel:

But somehow on the car the Stealth looks lighter:

And in real life it looks even lighter:

So, what do you think? Maybe Lucid put Platinum on my car? If not, I can't imagine how much lighter a Platinum would be.
 
No, that's definitely stealth. Platinum is definitely very, very silver in person and noticeably different to Stealth.

By comparison here are a couple pictures outdoor lighting with the Platinum trim:

Didn't get a good pic, but got this bad boy delivered in the rain today. Originally ordered 11/7/24. Switched to this one last Monday from the inventory list. Passed PDI this past Saturday. Picked up from Torrance last night and delivered to me today.

Thought I’d post a pic of my car actually in the wild. It looks much better in this light. I don’t mind the platinum as much. Though I do think AG has a tendency to look brown in certain light. Still love the color.

Looks like the "Design Yours" picture but the "Choose Appearence"clearly show the same color on aside as the top for "Stealth Appearance" and I don't think it depend on body color cause the same "photoshop" picture appears on all color you can choose. Not 100% sure how the "Design Yours" was made but right now it looks like faulty publicity and because they give you more than you asked they will not feel concern. Yes, funny thing is we pay for Stealth Appearence on the Air and it's free on the Gravity, go figure... and on the Air (with glass canopy the top is really dark. On the pub with Timothée Chalamet we can really see the "stealth top" color in deep black on an Aurora Green Metallic body. Well, they probably wrote somewhere that they can change their mind without telling anybody. Try to get it paint or wrap (cheaper) the color of remaining top if you really want the publucity look (nicer IMHO). Anyway, nice ride congratulation !!!
 
Def doesn’t look like stealth, especially compared to the Lucid website picture.

It very much depends on the angle at which light reflects off the car. Here are two pictures of our white Dream Edition taken moments apart in the same lighting conditions but from different angles.

Our Air Dream Edition has the Platinum roof trim, which can look almost as dark as the first picture in some light but a very light silver from other angles.

And here is a picture of our wrecked black Dream Edition, also with the Stealth trim. You can see how bright the Stealth can look in bright sunlight. But in certain light conditions it could look a very dark gray. And it was clearly the same finish as our green Dream Edition, which also has the same chameleon-like effect.

And here's a picture from the tow yard that shows how bright the Stealth can look even on an overcast day (taken about three minutes before it started to rain).

The problem is that the Lucid website is all renders, not real photos. Even their interior colors are off, I hated the look of the Tahoe interior on the website but in reality it's a much nicer color (less orange that it looks in the renders) and I ended up getting that.

I've seen a number of Gravity lined up at the Service Centers I've been to and the Stealth is much less black than it looks in their renders, no matter the lighting IMO.
 
One last pass at how different the Stealth trim can look at the same time and place, depending on angle:

As light at the Stealth can look in certain lighting from certain angles, I can assure you the Platinum on our Air would always look considerably brighter in the same conditions.

As I was shopping for my ev, all of the website pictures of interiors and exteriors were renderings. Lucid, Audi, Porsche, Rivian, and others all had renderings of the various colors and textures. Like @RandomDesign I was pretty sure I didn't want Tahoe until I saw it in person with Aurora Green exterior.

Knowing that the renderings of most companies were not that good, there was no way I was going to actually purchase without seeing the car in person or at least some online pictures of the actual car. Even the online pictures, as we are seeing in this thread, are subjective based on lighting. However, they're better than the web renderings.

Interesting, mine Stealth GT roof trim looks identical to your Platinum. Or is it just different light conditions?

The image you're replying to is the Stealth on a Gravity, he mentioned the Plat being on his Air. If you see a Stealth and Plat side by side IRL you can really see the difference.

It definitely stealth, but I agree that the car render in the designing tool on the website is very misleading. That's why it's always a good idea to try to check the colors in person if possible. My original order was for Stealth Quantum Gray. It looked amazing and uniform in the designer (my subjective opinion), but I ended up with Platinum Abyss Black. I think my car is stunning and seeing photos of people's Stealth Quantum Gray I feel like I made the right choice. I love the contrast.

Get it wrapped. It shouldn’t be very expensive to just do that part on each side.
