Gravity
Brought my Air back to Lucid and got my Gravity today. Super excited. Had a long ride back home and, of course a question for my Lucid family. Driving on the interstate, the speed limit indicator on the dash read 70mph, matching the speed limit. But...when I passed an exit, it changed to the speed limit of the exit ramp (i.e. 35mph) and then changed back when I passed the exit. Any idea why it does this? Plus, if it changes (and it did on almost all exits), that will mess up when I use cruise control/Dream Drive Pro. Is this a known issue or a setting I don't have engaged? Any insight is much appreciated. Thanks.

I have the same problem. When using ACC/DD yes, the vehicle suddenly and quite disturbingly decelerates! I have reported this to the sw email but haven’t received a response. I try to remember to put regen on standard instead of the usual high to make the deceleration less drastic. I was hopeful this would have been corrected with CarPlay / google or Apple Maps but it wasn’t. Very disconcerting and UNSAFE. NEEDS IMMEDIATE ATTENTION from Lucid.

It seems to be a pretty serious SW bug
It should ignore exit ramp suggested speed signs but it doesn't. The car behind you thinks you're "brake testing" them

BTW...weren't those suggested ramp speeds determined back in the late 50's when cars were super heavy (well...not by EV standards) and had poor handling??
They seem awful slow.. like they were trying to prevent an egg from rolling off a camper van kitchen counter or something!

In the meantime, can you turn off automatic speed changes based on speed limit signs?

Yes, you can change the behavior in settings to ignore speed limit signs.

The good news is that in 3.5.1, the speed changes are much more gradual. I disabled speed limit tracking in 3.4.1 but re-enabled it with this update. The acceleration is now very mild at the beginning and gradually increases. I can smoothly override and recover before losing more than 1-2 mph.

This also applies when disengaging ACC/DDPro. It used to be pretty abrupt but now transitioning to manual control is much smoother.

I noticed that on downhills with truck speed limits the Gravity will notice the lower speed. I didn't check if the cruise would go to the lower limit but I imagine so.

I need to figure out how to turn the audible ding. The visual is fine
There is a setting for that. “visual and audio” vs “visual”

I have complained about this in another thread. Until Lucid fixes this, it is useless and possibly dangerous. I have an ICE Mercedes that has similar “auto speed set” that will occasionally (but not nearly as often as with Lucid) pick up the exit ramp sign and reduce the speed. But with an ICE car, the reduction in speed is very gradual as it coasts down. In my Gravity with regen set to “standard”, it is a significant slowing. I could only imagine that someone who normally uses “High” regen, the effect would be like hitting the brakes. Not what you want to do in traffic while cruising down freeway at 70+.

Update: I disabled speed tracking on a 800+ mile road trip. While the transition is smoother and manageable, reading wrong speed limit signs happened too frequently. It was much simpler to adjust DDPro speeds for real speed limit changes.

What you are seeing is likely the system briefly picking up mapped speed limits from nearby roads, especially exit ramps, which can override the main highway data for a moment. It is fairly common with camera and map fusion systems. Usually it stabilizes quickly, but it can be distracting for cruise control use.

Don’t care what is causing this. I just know that it is considerably worse than similar speed limit system in my Mercedes and needs to be fixed.
