Gravity Options

Hey All,

Relatively new to the group. Have been following Lucid for a while now and like many of us, have been patient with the roll out of the Gravity. I was a huge fan (and so was the wife) of the Air when we test drove it but unfortunately I can't say I loved the ride height and we much prefer the form factor of an SUV. I knew we'd be back once the Gravity came out and test drove it a few months back. My wife fell in love but I am still a bit apprehensive, mostly due to the option sheet and real world range and charging. So here I am trying to gauge how that has been for current owners.

I currently drive an Rivian R1S and in full transparency, I love it. The higher ride height and boxy style fits more of my taste, but I am aware of some of its shortcomings, specially when it comes to charging speeds and missing some luxury features (massaging seats and extending thigh support). I'd likely be trading it for the Gravity over the next year after a few more test drives and trying to nail down how I will have my Gravity configured. The R1S has been great, but I do road trip a fair amount and 30-40 minute charging stops are a bit brutal.

My question to currently Gravity owners is what packages did you add to it (Dreamdrive Premium or Pro, Sound System, Dynamic Handling, Technology, Comfort and Convenience) and what would you say is a must? If the dynamic package is not selected, how is the standard air suspension? If technology package is not selected, how is the standard ambient lighting (if any at all)? How is the road noise on the highway (wind and tire noise)? Is PAAK available yet? How are the real world range and charging speeds?

I'm currently leaning towards adding the dreamdrive premium, sound, dynamic handling and power package along with the 21/22 wheel set up and seven seat configuration. Obviously don't want to miss out on any must, so any inputs highly appreciated it! Thanks!

I'm not an owner and my answers are based on what I read here and there so take it with a grain of salt. But from what I was reading both range and charging speeds are great (as long as you find a working, high kWh charger that doesn't share power with other charging vehicles). There are a few threads in https://lucidowners.com/forums/gravity-charging.126/ section where people were happily reporting high charging speeds.
Apparently standard air suspension is focused on comfort (which most likely will work for most people), but a lot of folks are saying dynamic package is a must have for rear wheel steering (not gonna lie, it's nice thing to have).
A lot of options are subjective. I personally think that DreamDrive Premium is totally worth it (I got Pro) as it comes with a bunch of nice things. I recommend going to the configuration (https://lucidmotors.com/configure/gravity) and clicking on each info button to see what is included in each option.
No clue how standard Sound System performs (I didn't see any opinions). But I know some folks here were saying that they always get the best sound option for expensive cars since they spend so much for it already. I bet you can hear a difference between standard and Pro when you put them side to side, but I think as long as it's not worse than you previous cars you'll probably be happy. I wonder if there is anyone on the forum who had R1S and have Gravity with standard sound to compare two.
PAAK is not available yet. You can open the car with a phone app, but you can't drive it without a key fob or a card.
Two things worth noting. Standard seats (Mojave Purluxe) don't have trays, ventilation, or massage, and have less adjustment settings. You need Premium or leather options for that. If you won't take tech package some parts of interior won't have lights (check this post: https://lucidowners.com/threads/gravity-delivery-discussion.10959/post-294964).

Thanks! Appreciate the insight. But my thoughts have been similar. For an expensive car, I'm leaning towards getting what I want with no regrets but not going overboard, either. I have been perusing other forums on the Gravity but those are getting into the triple digit page count and was not finding what I was looking for. Given the overall impression I'm getting from current owners it does not seem like a purchase that I will regret! Will definitely wait for PAAK, Carplay and hopefully some of the ADAS to come online to see how those play out.
