Any chance you found out what part it is?

I just noticed the same sound on mine today and would love to have them address it in my already scheduled service appointment next week
 
I’ve called my SC about the Booming Sound at higher speeds.

Fortunately no key fob issues while out.
 
Just dropped off the gravity at the SC today.
1. Fortunately I had the video recording so it was easy to point to it to identify. They have talked to Florida SC and will try to identify if it’s the same issue. 🤞.
2. NFC issue is back. Won’t recognize my card. SC mentioned they have to debug and potentially swap the NFC module again. Hope it’s only software related.

My car is also at an SC for various issues including this one. I did mention the Florida SC but not sure if they asked them anything yet.

Did you happen to ask what part the noise is associated with?
 
Update from the SC on my gravity today - They are replacing the front drive unit.

That was my hunch when I first heard it, but the vibration theory was also compelling.

Hoping to pick up early next week.
 
Newly delivered GT with 22/23" wheels has a vibration starting around 60 mph. Feel it in the seat. From previous vehicles I have had with the same sort of problem it turned out to be wheel/tire balance of a rear tire. Will be taking it to SC (Tysons) whenever I an get an appointment to validate/fix.
 
I am having a similar sound when driving at speeds of 75+. Happened on the day of my delivery. They adjusted the frunk latch. Noise was apparent on my drive home from the service center. It consistently repeated at least 8 times during the drive. Here is one of the videos I took. It is louder in person. It’s a hum oscillation sound. It occurred on many different road surfaces. I even heard it during a lane change. Taking vehicle back to service at Tysons SC for this and a few other issues. So far my Gravity has been in service around 10 days over owning it 38 days.

 
good idea to take it to the SC. Curious to see what your diagnosis might be.

Mine has been in service for ~15 days out of the 29 days I’ve owned….and counting.

Perhaps folks here can comment on whether there’s some room for lease discounts / extensions in such cases.

I had the same sound on mine, but after a while it stopped and I can't reproduce it anymore. I never really use the frunk, so I wonder if my frunk "settled in" such that vibration is gone, at least for now, but could come back if I open/close the frunk again. Taking the car to SC tomorrow for other reasons, but I don't know if I want them messing with frunk latches, sounds like they aren't really fixing anything.
 
My Gravity goes back to the Service Center at Tysons on Monday for the second time. Unfortunately there are a lot of items they need to investigate. I have provided them with dates and times, so hopefully this time they will reference the logs to get to the issues resolved. Here is my summary list of the items to check.

Summarized Punch List of Issues to Be Addressed:

Delivery Punch list Due Bill:
  1. Third Row Seat Not Working as Designed
  2. Scratch Near Driver’s Door
  3. Scratches (2) on Back of Driver’s Seat
  4. Scratch on the back Pillar on the Passenger side of the Vehicle


Additional Items Reported:
  1. Hum/Oscillation Noise
  2. Air Conditioning Malfunctioning
  3. Squeaking Noise Coming from Second Row Seats
  4. Front Driver Side Turn Signal not functioning properly
  5. DreamDrive Limited Schedule Service - Air Conditioning Malfunction
  6. General Warning Icon with no notification
  7. Small Dent in Back Pillar - Present After Getting Vehicle back from First Service
  8. Warning Icon, no notification. I have attached a photo. The manual states an air bag failure.

What is your turn signal doing? I just had my front driver side signal replaced (the whole light assembly) because most of the time it would sort of barely flash and have a weird cadence to it. It works 99% correctly now but I just noticed that it can still act a little weird for the first flash or two and then is fine.

Flashing very rapidly.
 
Yup that’s what mine looked like. Now sometimes just the first flash or two is quick then it’s fine.

They said they verified the wiring was okay before they replaced the fixture, but I am a little skeptical that the rest of the car has nothing to do with it considering that it’s still not 100% perfect.
 
Mine randomly stops working altogether. It acts like there is a loose connection or bad wire. When it goes out I get a handful of errors for marker light, turn signal, and headlight error. The cameras and lane sensing don’t work when it is out either. Going in for service this week.

Now I’m curious. How did you manage to find this in the first place.
I wouldn’t event think about this unless I get a malfunction indicator on the dashboard ?

FWIW my car is still in the shop so I’ll have them check this too.
 
Every time it goes out I get 4 different notifications on the dashboard. It will go on and off 3 or 4 times in a row with the notifications each time before it settles down either on or off. The first time it happened I checked the mirror turn indicator and it works as well as the rear. Really behaves as if there it a connector loose.
 
Quick update on the gravity saga : replaced front drive unit, second nfc console.
SC mentored that there's still some noise and they are debugging it. 😭

Ugh. This is beyond frustrating. I've been driving a loaner Air,but hate having to pay for a car and not being able to drive it.
 
Another update

1. Replaced front wheel bearings and that , along with FDU, seems to have fixed the sound issue per SC.

2. Cold air : The SC is adamant that the AC is working as designed (?) and that does not make sense to me. Winter is coming, so shouldn't be hard to replicate if there is indeed an issue.

3. Hope to pick up tomorrow.


I have also reached out ot Lucid CS to ameliorate the leasing charges.
 
@Ironhorse cold air issue is likely software related as most people here have reported the same behavior. It seems that it's not selecting the right source of heat unless the differential between desired and current temperature is cranked up. When differential is small it's probably trying to siphon heat from the motor, which doesn't have any when the car was parked for a while.
