I just want to express my excitement and appreciation for Gravity. Finally, there's a car that ticks every single box of my wishlist.
  1. First of all, range and power - All-wheel drive, under 4 seconds to 60, hopefully over 350 miles of real-world range (even with 23" wheels going at 85mph).
  2. Size and packaging - You get almost Escalade ESV cargo capacity (122ft vs 126ft, respectively) in a much smaller and a more nimble car, that still fits city parking spaces and can race someone from the stoplight / switch lanes quickly.
  3. HUD. Absolute deal-breaker for me, can't drive without a HUD, so Air / Teslas were a no-go, and Gravity finally has AR HUD, which is fantastic (hope it looks great in person).
  4. Rear-wheel steering. I drive EQS with a 10-degree rear-wheel steering, and it's one of the best features ever. A 208-inch sedan turns around like a Fiat 500. So happy Gravity has it, even though it appears it's not exactly MB-level (turning radius is longer although the car is shorter), but it still beats the likes of BMW X5.
  5. Backseat tables. Why did it take so long for a manufacturer to finally make it? Was always jealous about Autobiography Range Rovers, Maybachs and others with it. But it shouldn't be a $200k+ car feature, it's just a cheap piece of metal / plastic. And the placement is great (aircraft-like, not a rear seat divider).
  6. No 3rd row in a large car. Lack of this option for GLS, X7, Escalade and others just pisses me off, I don't need these damn seats, I just want trunk capacity. Thank you Lucid for not only allowing not to have it, but also for a respective discount.
  7. Soft-close doors. Kinda mainstream now, but there were a bunch of luxury cars not having it during and following the chip shortage period.
  8. Air suspension. Don't have the details yet, but just based on the renders, appears to have a great range of motion - can go up significantly to handle some light offroading.
  9. Front trunk seating. Looks great. Had X5 with a split tailgate previously - super convenient for changing into ski boots or just having coffee outside.
  10. Karaoke. Legacy manufacturers still don't add it, and it's a fun stuff.
  11. Camera view with blinkers. Hyundai started this, and it's a great feature to have a camera view in the dashboard when you indicate. So many manufacturers still don't have it (Mercedes, Audi).
  12. Towing package. Doesn't say it deactivates kick-to-open functionality, so I hope it works. On BMW X5 and some others, if you add a trailer hitch, a kick-to-open sensor is gone.
  13. Massage. Every luxury car has it now, but Air has a stronger, more pronounced massage than BMW (a complete crap) and Mercedes (a bit weaker than Air). I assume Gravity will be no worse than Air.
  14. Rear side window sunshades. Mercedes EQS doesn't have it for any amount of money (only Maybach does), even at $140k. Thanks Lucid for not cheaping out here.
  15. Sound system. It's subjective, but I hope Gravity sounds better than some German counterparts. MB mostly tops out at 16 Burmester speakers, BMW - 15 speakers with HK (a lot of models do not get a proper B&W option). At least on paper, 22-speaker system at Gravity looks promising.
I'm so happy I don't need to compromise on so many things. The only nitpick I can come up with is no ventilation option for the rear seats, but that's minor. There just seem to be no other car that ticks all this. Hope Lucid executes and build quality / software is where it's supposed to be. Gravity should be a success, wishing them all the best.

These Dream Drive Pro updates bode well for the Lucid Air, considering the ADAS hardware is the same - except the See-though vehicle display (HUD?)

others call it a "windshield" :P

Good point, what do they refer to by this "See-through Vehicle Display"?
lol, I have no idea. but if I had to guess, it would be during auto-park, maybe? Instead of being just a black box and yellow squares it'll show you the camera maybe? I have no idea.

It could also be the integration with the heads up display. They have the heads up display as a separate option, but they have shown pictures with the ADAS display functions on the windshield where it superimposes the traffic on the windshield.

Correction! Given Peter's British roots my Australian it should be called a "windscreen" :p

This would be an engineering miracle. I can't imagine it's possible because even the Air can't do that.
Kyle from out-of-spec got 500mi at 70 mph with a small-wheel Air GT. I would assume bigger tires / extra 15 mph don't shed more than 150 miles of range?

Anecdotally, I get real 300mi of range on 21" (max size) wheels on my EQS580 sedan driving 85-90mph from LA to SF. And it's EPA range is 345mi. I know Germans overperform, but hoped Air is not that far from its EPA rating.

If I go 80 in my Air GT on 20s (and the same with my old 21s), I get maybe 3 mi/kwh. This would translate to a range of about 330 miles. The Gravity, being heavier and less aerodynamic, will almost certainly do worse at 80. Driving 70, I can get closer to 3.7 mi/kwh, but that's no fun.

Go over 80 mph in an EV and watch how quickly the battery drains.
