Well, we do all have reservations for 2026 models...Took them 4 months to make 2 cars![]()

Most likely limited to places with highest concentration of reservations/orders.Locations are limited. Boooooooooooo
These are the top five from GGT Reservation Tracker Stats. Lines up with test drive locations. Most likely limited to places with highest concentration of reservations/orders.
Makes sense given the slow production ramp-up.
Touché.Look, if the site owners and mods didn't want people to complain on here, then why did they name the forum luci downers?
So that people can do test drives now.Why not just wait until they can get two cars to every showroom and do normal test drives?
Yup. Exactly. See you in 20 years.I guess at the current pace that will take 20+ years?
Definitely.Plus side is the Gravity will hold its value really well if they only make 10 a year.
“We nearly finished building all the vehicles that we wanted to build to put them into our studio and for test drives,”So that people can do test drives now.
Seems obvious to me. Waiting means people can’t do test drives now.
That seems objectively worse, with no positive benefit other than “people on this forum might complain less,” which is not actually as relevant as you might think as to whether or not Lucid sells cars.
Yeah, again thanks for the generosity!Aside: I can’t offer test drives, but as I offered to @brianman, if anyone in the Bay Area wants to meet up and see it and/or look around, I’m happy to meet up. DM me.
If there are a hundred of you I’ll set up a group time lol, but please only DM if you’re serious. Reminder that this is my personal time and I don’t work for Lucid, so if you just want to look at the car, that’s fine, but my goal is to help folks make a decision, not so much to convince those that have already decided not to buy one.
No, and that isn’t the point. I have no idea how many they’ve built. For all I know, they have 100 of them on a carrier right now and they have a whole studio test drive plan for the next 3 months. I don’t know. Probably not.“We nearly finished building all the vehicles that we wanted to build to put them into our studio and for test drives,”
You really expected this to mean they had almost finished two test drive vehicles a month ago?
Looking incompetent doesn’t sell cars. To the vast, vast, majority of people… Lucid doesn’t look incompetent. Rather, Lucid looks like there are some studios that have test drives coming up.I'm not convinced that looking incompetent helps sell cars. Though I admit I still want one. haha.
2 > 0. We agree on that. No, and that isn’t the point. I have no idea how many they’ve built. For all I know, they have 100 of them on a carrier right now and they have a whole studio test drive plan for the next 3 months. I don’t know. Probably not.
But none of that is the point, which is that there are test drives available now, which is objectively good news.
Is it perfect or ideal? No. But perfect is often the enemy of good.
I agree, something better than nothingI mean this with literally all possible respect: I have no idea what you’re talking about, so I assume I’m missing the point. What do tariffs have anything to do with anything here?
I agree certainty and not missing deadlines would be the ideal scenario. That is obviously true. That’s not presently the case. That should be improved. We can all agree on that.
What we disagree on is whether we need 17 pages of a forum thread all saying that.
Lucid, to be clear, is *very* aware that missing deadlines is not a good look. This thread or any other isn’t going to “teach them that” either. You should absolutely let Lucid know you’re not thrilled with the missed deadlines and missed promises.
Have you ever managed an employee? The time to provide constructive feedback isn’t when they have just brought you an exciting new development; that should be celebrated. It’s all the time *in between* that you should be providing feedback.
And this forum isn’t the right place for feedback, despite the fact that @marqie lives here like the rest of us tooStuff here gets missed, so tell Lucid directly.
And I’d recommend approaching them with kindness and seeking to understand; I have never had a good relationship with anyone when I walked in guns blazing.
Expected in most showrooms in 2 or 3 weeksLocations are limited. Boooooooooooo
