Adding a data point - I placed an order for GGT two months ago. Not a current Lucid owner. Got an e-mail today, I'm scheduled to test drive this week. Bay area.

I've scheduled a test drive for this week also. Placed a Gravity GT order a month or so ago, 2.5 year Air GT owner.

This is beyond parody now. Why not just wait until they can get two cars to every showroom and do normal test drives?
I guess at the current pace that will take 20+ years?
Plus side is the Gravity will hold its value really well if they only make 10 a year.

Seems obvious to me. Waiting means people can’t do test drives now.

That seems objectively worse, with no positive benefit other than “people on this forum might complain less,” which is not actually as relevant as you might think as to whether or not Lucid sells cars.

Aside: I can’t offer test drives, but as I offered to @brianman, if anyone in the Bay Area wants to meet up and see it and/or look around, I’m happy to meet up. DM me.

If there are a hundred of you I’ll set up a group time lol, but please only DM if you’re serious. Reminder that this is my personal time and I don’t work for Lucid, so if you just want to look at the car, that’s fine, but my goal is to help folks make a decision, not so much to convince those that have already decided not to buy one.

No, and that isn’t the point. I have no idea how many they’ve built. For all I know, they have 100 of them on a carrier right now and they have a whole studio test drive plan for the next 3 months. I don’t know. Probably not.

But none of that is the point, which is that there are test drives available now, which is objectively good news.

Is it perfect or ideal? No. But perfect is often the enemy of good.

Looking incompetent doesn’t sell cars. To the vast, vast, majority of people… Lucid doesn’t look incompetent. Rather, Lucid looks like there are some studios that have test drives coming up.

You and I are here. Most people aren’t. They just hear about this in their email or PR, schedule it, test drive it, and either buy the car or don’t. That’s the vast, vast majority of people. We’re talking high 90th percentile.

We, here, are a passionate minority.

Most people are just excited there are test drives at all.

I agree certainty and not missing deadlines would be the ideal scenario. That is obviously true. That’s not presently the case. That should be improved. We can all agree on that.

What we disagree on is whether we need 17 pages of a forum thread all saying that.

Lucid, to be clear, is *very* aware that missing deadlines is not a good look. This thread or any other isn’t going to “teach them that” either. You should absolutely let Lucid know you’re not thrilled with the missed deadlines and missed promises.

Have you ever managed an employee? The time to provide constructive feedback isn’t when they have just brought you an exciting new development; that should be celebrated. It’s all the time *in between* that you should be providing feedback.

And this forum isn’t the right place for feedback, despite the fact that @marqie lives here like the rest of us too Stuff here gets missed, so tell Lucid directly.

And I’d recommend approaching them with kindness and seeking to understand; I have never had a good relationship with anyone when I walked in guns blazing.

Non-Gravity reservation holder here. Received an email earlier to reserve the demo drive as “just” an Air owner anyway. Scheduled. They are determined to get me .

Just as an update for those who asked: "I see a lot of people reacting on the forums about the Gravity Road Show Event. Just wanted to confirm at least at our location in San Jose. We will be allowing customer to test drive if they have booked a reservation. They will be accompanied by a sales advisor like myself."
