It’s not that it’s difficult- it’s that it’s far more involved and it does take markedly longer than it needs to. It’s just a poor implementation. There’s no need for screws at all. That’s fine. I got through it.
Just saying of all the things I FAR prefer on our Gravity versus R1S, crossbar install is one thing Rivian nailed perfectly. And they did it in a way that doesn’t risk cracking your glass.

When you are referring to old vs revised version, are you talking about the cross bars? I can't think what else it would be. Are the new revised crossbars out now? Thanks!
 
Yes, from what others told me, the older versions did not have the track across the middle whereas the new ones do.
