How visible is the edge guard post installation?

Sill plate protection is a must, but I am awful at DIY and was hoping someone would sell precut XPel like I got on my Rivian. That was super easy to install. Did you have to do anything with the xpel other than cut it to correct length?

just the soap and water and squeegee. SUPER easy and if you use enough soap and water it makes positioning trivial. door edge you can only see when you are within a foot or two.

Make sure you don’t push too hard or touch the security node wire flux capacitor device @msaunders9430 referred to when you install. Apparently, the center console is persnickety…

I find it amazing that connector can't be soldered to reconnect. Mobile tech said no.

Sounds like it can’t be accessed once the cup holder slider unit is in place. Or did the tech access it directly to figure out that was the issue? If the latter, 100% agree with you. Sorry, off topic for this thread…

Tech was able to remove cupholder and insert a camera. Took pictures to confirm the bent connector.
