I briefly experimented with this for that same use case but was unable to use Google maps and Native navigation at same time.

I had google maps going on top screen, and when i hit a destination on the native maps in the bottom screen it canceled the routing directions in the google maps. This was reported by somebody above as well

Anyone reporting differently?

Edit: Several people reporting the same.

Yeah, can’t have nav on both, just can have traffic and what not up on the Waze/Google Maps one.

This is the only reason I wanted CarPlay, to run Waze concurrently with Lucid Nav. What’s the point? Now I’ll be back to running Waze on my phone.

I assume you've never used CarPlay before. It works this way in every vehicle with CarPlay. It's an Apple setting that cannot be undone.

Well, the rest of the screen is also composed by Google's Phantoscope (the Android Auto receiver that runs on the car's hardware). I'll try to reach folks from AAP team and ask if it can be fixed.

No, I have never used CarPlay. So, what’s the solution on long trips? Run Waze to see the cops & traffic, and turn off Lucid navigation until I get close to needing a charge?

Before we had CarPlay, I would use the Native app and run Waze on my iPhone, but not put in any route. It would follow along the route and warn me about things ahead. I would assume with CarPlay you just click on the Waze app and not specify a route and use the native navigation. But you could just use Waze for both, although the UI is not the most handsome.

In the Lucid Air, I frequently use this method with CarPlay. I run Waze on my iPhone while the Lucid native Navigation is active in the car. I assume this method works the same way on Gravity, but I haven’t had the opportunity to test it. In Gravity, you can keep CarPlay on and have the native navigation displayed on the bottom screen. However, in the Air, it was a bit inconvenient. When approaching police, I had to open CarPlay to see what was happening and then return to the native app.

You can use one or the other. Another alternative is disconnect your phone from Carplay and get a mount for it, and you can then use both the nav and your phone separately. That is pretty much the only options I am aware of

Oh, it's CarPlay. Google Maps confused me - I thought it was Android Auto. AA used to have a similar option, but for some reason, it was removed.

I haven’t noticed it everywhere, but the car does seem to slow and stop bettter the last 10 feet of a stop. Often, I would feel I was regen braking fine, then the car would reduce the regen for the last 4 feet or so and I would have to use the friction brakes to not touch the car in front. Seems like that may have been adjusted , but enough time in the wild yet.

AFAIK, Waze can alert you about speed cameras even without active navigation. Therefore, is it possible to use the built-in navigation and simply have Waze open in AA/CP?

Thank you, I will mention this data point next time to my SC, they had mentioned comparing it to other GT's they had and seeing similar behavior as mine

My 48A charger holds 11kw for the entire charge. Maybe a hardware issue?

It's definitely a software/hardware combo issue. It's continued the subpar AC charging issue after all the software updates and even after Lucid replaced the main power box in my Gravity. Seems like something is heating up quickly and triggering the throttling issue.

I called Customer Care with time stamps of my charging session today and they will have a look.

I've been dealing with the local SC, but I'm about to pull the ripcord on working with them and head to customer care. They're just overwhelmed at the SC and really don't have the knowledgeable resources locally to solve this issue. They had to consult engineering on my last visit, which got me the replaced MOB, and I'm sure they'll have to do it again. So going the CC route is probably the smartest path going forward.

IOS 26.4 is not yet available for general release (at least according to my iphone)

It is on the Release Candidate dev and public beta and is expected to become available March 23rd or 24th.

Definitely comes to a complete stop much smoother.

I think moving small increments from stopped in 'hold' mode is not as touchy and easier to modulate. I probably won't be using'creep' anymore to get in&out of my tight garage.

Turning off DD with the brake or cancel button gives you a little pause before the heavy regen so you can put your foot down to adjust the speed. Awesome, I think I can get used to this. Don't feel like I'm having a sparing match with DD near as much.
