On my last drive, after the car location glitching like crazy for a few minutes, the location got stuck several miles away and will no longer update.

I rebooted the car twice, short press and cold-long press, but that doesn't seem to reset the GPS receiver.

Is there way to reset that without having to abandon the car for god-knows how long?

Needless to say, everything that depends on location stopped working, like speed limit, lane changes, hands-free driving, etc.

It would be nice to have a car that, well, just worked.
 
I had this issue a few months back. It eventually cleared itself and marked as a non-reproducible by the service tech.
 
I experienced the same on 3.6.4 once, what worked for me was combining a sleep cycle with a reset:
  • Navigated successfully to the destination using wireless CarPlay
  • Parked and locked the vehicle
  • Returned to the vehicle after <5 minutes and the location was stuck at the destination, affecting CarPlay and saw it was affecting in-car nav as well
  • Parked and locked the vehicle
  • Let the vehicle sleep (for >2 hours in my case, it doesn't have to be this long), issue still persisted
  • Performed a 2 chime reset and waited for all systems to initialize
  • Issue resolved
 
I've configured my Android Auto not to get GPS location from the car anymore. At least I still have navigation when that happens again. Because I know it will.

My problem was resolved after the car slept all night.
 
I too have had this issue. Even after resolved sometimes it reoccurs - putting the iphone ton airplane mode on and the off usually clears it. Unfortunately I understand that iOS does not offer a setting to disable or prevent CarPlay from using the vehicle's GPS antenna.
 
Glad to se that I am not alone in this bug. When you do a reboot try holding past the first chime, there will be a second. Allegedly this is a deeper reboot and has on occasion fixed my GPS.

I count this as "normal" for GPS devices. Every GPS device I own (and I have a lot of them) probably has one event every year or two in which it totally miscalculates location. It usually resolves the next time it attempts a GPS lock from nothing. I credit it to either a complex math breakdown on the device or a momentary glitch in the satellite signals that sent it sideways.

This is different. Freezes at a previous location. Thinks the car is there, miles away. It does not move or updates. Since 3.6.4 it happens frequently (and not before). iPhone is fine the minute it is disconnected from vehicle (or reboot). I recognize GPS sometimes has glitches. This seems more like a Gravity bug than a GPS glitch for those experiencing it.

Tried the following a couple of times. I supposed to completely reset I need LUCID's intervention.

Deep Sleep Cycle
⚬ Turned off Wi-Fi in the car's settings.
⚬ Performed a hard reboot (holding the steering wheel buttons until the system chimes).
⚬ Walk away with the key fob for at least 15–20 minutes so the vehicle enters a full sleep state,. Supposedly cuts power to the TCU and reboots it upon wakeup.

When lucid has checked my tcu status remotely they see no issues- they claim they would see a reason to reset tcu. Unfortunately I've never caught service in the middle of an event.

I'm trying to see where to decouple AA nav from car navigation.

Not normal. This is a known issue to gravity owner (just not a known issue to lucid... Hopefully they are seeing this thread as I thought I was alone @marqie )

Steps to Block Car GPS via Android Auto PermissionsOpen the Settings app on your Android phone.Tap on Apps or Apps & notifications.Find and select Android Auto from the app list.Tap on Permissions, then select Location.Change the setting to Don't allow or Deny.Keep location permissions set to Allow all the time or Allow only while using the app for your specific navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze.

Does that let you navigate?
 
Same issue this last week but my GT doesn't reset either ... so I'm stuck just disconnecting my phone until whenever they fix this ... (native works as long as phone is not connected - otherwise native doesn't update location)
