I agree with this article. My son has super cruise on his GM car and consistenly drives on highway without hands for many miles. The car even changes lanes on its own in order to pass slow driving cars. It is very good indeed.

SuperCruise and Ford's equivalent BlueCruise are widely regarded as the best in the industry. Handsfree should be coming to our Airs in the next few months and begin a path forward on ADAS improvements.

It’s good to see that hands free self driving is coming along nicely across several platforms. The FSD in my wife’s new MY really impressed me. We have been using it during the first month of ownership and it has been impressive. No major nor minor issues. That said, I really enjoy actively driving my Air and I rarely use HA unless we are on a commute over 20 miles on the highway.

Hands free will be only available for DD pro right? Are there any such additional features planned for DD premium?

What’s even more impressive IMO is Supercruise with Towing.

No phantom braking or hitting emergency vehicles is a big plus!

Agreed, but I can't be the only one who would feel nervous about using it! If there were sensors on the actual trailer, it would be amazing, but I could see things going terribly wrong with the current implementation (for example, a lane change where the trailer hits another car). I do concede that 99% percent of the time, as well as for long distance hauling while there are no cars around you (which seems like a great use case for this feature), it would work perfectly.

GM super cruise is a great feature indeed. My wife's Suburban has it, and it makes our long drives on I-10 very pleasant. It does have its limits to the extent highways aren't updated in cases where new lanes have been added, for example. It also does a good job of making sure that your eyes on the road. Looking forward to something similar on my GT.
