GGT with Tech Package Deliveries

Seems the factory production is 7-10 days now.
However, I’m aware of instances where cars would not be factory gated for many more days, even weeks at a time.
Does anyone know what a prolonged production indicate ? The proverbial supply chain issues, car having problems, or ?

I would agree on the 7-10 day average production now. I would guess extensive delay would be due to problem found during final inspection/QC. If there was a supply chain issue, the car would not even start production.

what durations to expect for QC, transport to SC, PDI?

I can imagine that they might be trying to fill a car carrier, and not ship solo vehicles. Lucid locations that are moving higher volumes of cars probably don't get much delay from that, but maybe there are lower volume locations where it takes some time?

Ordered on 3/18/2025:
Green, Yosemite, 20/21, Platinum, 5-Pass, DDPre, Dynamic, Tech, Comfort, Towing
Changed Platinum to Stealth on 6/13/2025 because @Ron_Burgundy was right. :)

SA texted 11/2/2025 to warn that it was going to production in a few days since he knew I might want to bag.
I waffled for 3 days and noted on web site it had gone into production 11/5 (Oh darn now I have to get it).
SA texted 11/6/2025 to say it was in production.
Dealer emailed to say production complete 11/13/2025, 7 days after 8 months to start.

I'm too nervous to say YA!
Wife is ambivalent, can't wait for the told you so
Yeah, I'm in a similar spot. My GGT probably arrives in Rocklin this week, and then enters PDI. I'm assuming delivery is likely the first week of Dec.

Honestly, I'm still a bit on the fence, partly because of my wife and the eventual "told you so". But partly because I'd been hoping for more progress from OTA updates by now, and it's a little discouraging to hear the lukewarm early reactions to 3.3.9. My mood varies week to week, but today I'm wondering if I really want to spend that much money on a vehicle that seems to need many months more bake time before it's really ready. Sigh.

Timeline from completed production to available for ownership is needed to avoid beginning the loan application to soon. I was considering paying cash, though 2.99% financing for 72 months is an appealing choice.

Not really. If you’re financing via Lucid/BofA, they can approve you and fund in a few days, at most. Apply for the loan when the car passes PDI at SC and you’re fine. Or when it arrives at SC if you want. Not before.

I wouldn’t say 3.3.9 reactions are “Luke warm”. It’s just a very focused update. So I don’t think most folks have any added issues from 3.3.9, it just didn’t come with new features and didn’t address some issues. It seems 3.3.9 did what it was intended to do - limited as its scope was. So I think “disappointed” may be a better word as it relates to how folks feel. But we’re all early adopters. No one forced us to buy early. Are some of the larger issues okay? No. Should it take so long to address? I have no idea. No one does. But we know Lucid is working to address the issues. If you’re a one car household or will get frustrated with the known bugs - totally get it - just wait. As an aside, I’d have no issue if we were a one car household with Gravity, but I understand the anxiety from folks.

So, the hope is they keep a monthly (at least) cadence. Feels as if the fob issues are solved and that clearly took a ton of time. If my AC blows like a tornado, I really don’t care. When my fob didn’t work or car wouldn’t start without key card, I cared deeply. But I also bought it 3+ months ago knowing the risks. And knowing how insanely awesome it is to drive. We shall see.

It'll be sooner than that. Mine got to Torrance on Thursday and completed PDI yesterday. Now awaiting delivery to my house sometime between Tuesday and Thursday (hopefully).

Unfortunately Lucid's (BoA) financing is only available in 10 states. I wanted to take advantage of the 2.99% rate but I found out the hard way it's not available in my state.

I am in similar boat for PA. I got my third party financing done and I also sent a complete payment even before my delivery. My loan check would have expired othwerwise. I am just waiting for an update as to when I will get the delivery. SA called me on Saturday that it left the factory on Friday and heading to Virginia Studio for PID. I should expect a call sometime this week.

My SA called me this morning to tell me that my Gravity is being loaded on a truck at the factory and will be in Scottsdale this afternoon. He also told me that the financing rate was reduced to 1.99% today. Now to see how fast PDI is.

I'm surprised! With BoA offering the financing, I'd have expected that such a large bank would be properly licensed for loans across the entire country.

Wow. 1.99%? I expected that but not until 12/1!

Now I have to put the pressure on my wife to “accept” the second GGT! Ugh. Champagne problems…

Yeah, my SA wasn't able to explain if the limitation is coming from BoA or from Lucid itself as of where they are able or unable to sell cars directly to the public. I even offered to take delivery in another state (MA), but they said no. Go figure...

Really? That is surprising. Do you have know what those 10 states are by any chance? That is a real bummer if that's the case, since the rate now is 1.99%.

I wonder if these are it. From footnote in Lucid Financial Services page.

> Lucid Motors manufactures and sells electric vehicles and ancillary products and services. Bank of America provides financial products and services. In select states (AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, IN, MA, OK, TN, TX, UT, and VA), credit and associated credit accounts are originated by Lucid Group USA, Inc., and assigned to a financial institution which may be Bank of America and lease accounts are originated by Lucid Motors and assigned to Tryon Vehicle Titling Trust. Lease and loan servicing is conducted by Bank of America or its subcontractors under the Lucid Financial Services name.

The rate on the website still says 2.99%. The footnote does not say what states. But that’s weird because I don’t think they’re limited to 10 states for the Air, right???

This is what the site lists:

Available from Lucid Financial Services for lease, and from Lucid Group USA, Inc. in select states (AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, IN, MA, OK, TN, TX, UT and VA) for financing. Leases and financing from Lucid Group USA, Inc. (and subsequently assigned to a financial institution which may be Bank of America).
