GGT with Tech Package Deliveries

I ordered my GGT without the Technology Package because I wanted to get it sooner.

May 28 - Ordered.
Aug 23 - After a Demo Drive at Newport Beach. They found one with the Technology Package that is "lined up" for production with a projected delivery in 4 to 8 weeks so they
amended my order to include technology and towing package.
Sep 12 - SA emails that it's not in production but was assigned a production number. Now expected in 8 to 11 weeks.
Oct 3 - A pleasant surprise. My car is now in Costa Mesa undergoing final inspection. They can deliver it in a couple days. I'm in Henderson NV.
Oct 13 - Delivery scheduled by me although according to SA, they can deliver as early as Oct 8.
In the meantime, I was finalizing my financing and deciding which car to sell, Lucid Air GT or Tesla Y. Decided to sell the Tesla.
Oct 11 - While signing paperwork to transfer Tesla, SA texts me that delivery on the 13th is a NO GO due to more inspections to be performed. Delivery now is MAYBE on the 17th.
I need a 2nd vehicle but I just signed over the Tesla. I feel that Lucid should pay for a rental car or Uber and I asked my SA about this. He said he'll find out and call me back.
It's now the 13th, no call back yet from SA.

The whole time I was waiting for the car, I decided that there's no point in stressing out about production and delivery because it really is out of my control. I'll let it play out.
It worked, until delivery time.....

My purchase included a trade in, I provided all the requested documents & PII requested by the SA & they took care of everything - including the transfer of my existing plates.
I did walk-in utilizing the (10) page delivery checklist found here - https://lucidowners.com/threads/gravity-delivery-day-checklist.13097/post-299103, but of course did not have enough time to go over everything. However the DA indicated we can contact them within one week of delivery to add anything to the due bill - there was a minor 1" scratch on the rear driver trim that I will eventually schedule service for.

Our status changed to Preparing for Delivery today!
 
Just to add a data point, my SA called 10/11 to tell me the GGT with Tech Package I ordered 9/3/2025 will go into production the middle of next month (November) with probable delivery late this year or early next year.
 
I have a Black/Stealth GGT order with tech package from Nov 7, 2024 when orders opened. My Gravity supposedly has been assigned a batch but my SA has no information on potential start date. I wonder how many of the production start dates I see here are speculation by the SA or if they are real and my SA is just out of the loop.
 
I ordered my GGT with tech package on August 10th. Apart from one email from my SA in mid-September, updating me that there were no updates, I’ve heard nothing else, nor seen any indication that my order has moved beyond the “ORDERED” phase.

Nothing else to do but keep waiting.

Totally agree. Until you actually see “In Production” in your dashboard, anything an SA says about having a batch or pre-VIN is pure speculation and possibly just trying to appease you. Just my opinion but those of you who placed order in Aug-Sep and are being told delivery before end of year are highly unlikely.
 
Didn't Lucid say in August that the 2025 production target was 18K vehicles?
That's a projection of 8K production for the rest of the year, so I'm hoping that we all should have our Gravities before the New Year.

Unless they start manufacturing all those weird configurations that does not make sense

In early Sept, my SA informed me that my GGT order had a batch number assigned. He was upfront that he couldn't say anything specific about when the batch would be produced. Finally last week he let me know that I'm going into production the week of Oct 19th. We'll see if my dashboard updates next week, but it may not be as black and white as you wrote.

There will be an end of quarter and end of year push and they’re ramped pretty well now, so I actually think a non-tech August or September order could very well be delivered by end of year.

No one knows the ratio of Air to Gravity though. Feels like they can build Airs much quicker than Gravity. And they don’t break out the deliveries between Air and Gravity. My point is, I think they’ll likely hit their numbers but whether that means 2,000 or 4,000 or more Gravity? No idea, but I’d bet on the lower side as it doesn’t feel like Gravity got ramped until end of Q3 and it seems to still face supply issues.

The biggest issue is if your order includes HUD. I think that the HUDs are still very constrained and will limit how many Gravity with Tech that they can build over the next few months.

Specs - Grand Touring, Aurora Green, Stealth, Yosemite Purluxe, 20”/21” wheels; 7-passenger; DDPro, Surreal Sound Pro; Dynamic Handling; Tech Package; Comfort & Convenience Package; Towing Package.

Hopefully no issues found in inspections and I’ll be driving it in a week or so!

GGT ordered 11/7/2024; entered production 9/6/2025; moved to "prepariing for delivery" on 10/2/2025; sales rep said it was "scheduled for reinspection" (whatever that means) on 10/9/2025; awaiting details on shipping date to Goose Island (Chicago).

Specs - Grand Touring; Quantum Grey, Stealth, 20" front/21" rear tires, Ojai leather, Dreamdrive 2 Pro, Dreamsound 2 Pro, Tech package, Comfort and Convenience Package Upgrade,

Hope to get it soon.

Got my GGT yesterday, fully loaded Aurora Green Platinum, 20" wheels with tech. package per this thread’s subject line - ordered on 11/4/24. The car was in PDI for about a month. They were not clear as to what the holdup was, except that they checked over all the modules and disassembled a bunch of stuff to check torque specs.

Seems that everything was working, except the frunk opening and closing, before opening on its own. They quickly adjusted the stops on the frunk and it’s been fine since then. I got a warning triangle when leaving the service center and took the car back. They plugged in their diagnostics and found no error codes and did a reset. This all took about 5 minutes. I had quickly gone over things on the check list, but didn’t find anything wrong.

120 mile drive back home was uneventful, while I got comfortable with the Drive Assist. I noticed that the DA assist is better than in the Air, aside from no Hands Free. The lane keeping also works in city streets and slows down early for stopped traffic, unlike the Air which can lead to white knuckles. You can’t tell me they can’t do it properly in the Air. One would think that, although the NVIDIA hardware is a generation behind, it’s more than capable of doing this. I also like the auto setting the speed as a percentage of the speed limit. This is useful, as I assume the speed displayed is 2 mph over the actual speed, as in the Air.

I had to lower the max current from 80A to 48A on my Tesla Wall connector to get it to charge. This is known issue and maybe the latest 3.3.8 update, which mentions level 2 charging, addresses this.

So were you told how changing your color might effect your estimated production start?

Since a lot of the potential buys out there that either did not want or were willing to do without HUD in order to get their GGT earlier, I have a feeling that a major chunk of the 5 month or older orders still waiting for news on their orders are those who have been holding out for the Tech. What I am trying to do is get some idea of how Lucid is moving on delivering GGTs with HUD.

So what I am asking is for people to post if they have either gotten a GGT delivery or a firm “In Production” notice of their GGT - with Tech..

Something like: Ordered on 12/3/24, In production 8/22/25, Delivered 10/2/25

The hope is to be able to get a realistic idea of how Lucid is progressing with HUD optioned GGTs. I know that Lucid has ramped up and now has 3 shifts, but building 400 GGT per week means nothing if Lucid is only getting 20 HUDs per week to install.

Thanks for the info and hopefully some of us can get some more info beyond “Your order is in Pre-VIN” which I think means “I have no freaking idea, so I will tell you this to keep you calm for another week or two.”
