Oh, wow? Me, too. Although, having totaled two Lucids, I can’t help noticing there’s not much of a frontal crush zone.

This was and still is the most fun sport car I have ever driven. 35 mph in this thing is thrilling! HP is way over-rated in sport cars. Fun is the point.

Also, if you like working on cars, a British or Italian sport car ... the horror...the horror.
 
Would have loved to see a very light weight battery pack get developed, so that Peter Rawlinson could develop an EV version of the Lotus Elise with it.

I'd love to see lightweight EVs take off, but it does feel like we'll need the energy density of something like solid-state at the very least (or lithium-air as something more optimal). Both of which are still a long ways away from commercial wide-spread production

Yeah that's like wishing for a lightweight swimming pool. The laws of physics get in the way, unless you're only planning to tow it to the track to do a couple of 1/4 mile runs before putting it back on the flatbed to get home.

I don't like the Corvette sized sports cars. Always preferred the smaller, agile types. From the British MGs, Italian Alfas, Mazda Rx-7, Honda S-2000 - those have been the cars that attracted me. Even saw some noise about the long delayed Tesla Roadster finally has a finish line. Heard that before though...😅

Rawlinson still got some amazing handling out of the Lucids. There is a bit of an upside with battery weight — it gets the center of gravity very low in the car. I traded an Audi R8 V10 for our first Tesla back in 2015. The Audi went to extraordinary lengths to keep the center of gravity low, such as using a dry sump oil system so that the engine could mount lower without an oil pan. I was actually shocked with how little I gave up in terms of handling in most situations with the Model S P90D that replaced it.

I really get @Cosmo Cruz’s point about lightweight British sports cars, though. Our 1996 Maxda Miata was a hoot to drive in the hills around L.A. A day cruising Mulholland Drive was a time I’ve not been able to replicate since anywhere.

I think any time you can reach your arm down and touch the pavement, it's a thrill. Include go karts as well. Inches off the ground give the intense sensation of speed, even if the speedometer doesn't give a practical reason for the adrenaline rush. Life can be much fun!!!
 
I always said I'd be first in line if there was an electric version of my previous Z4. Top down with no engine noise must be amazing.

You might want to give Longbow Motors a look, their first model is a roadster
 
I am definitely a sports car guy. Just sold this one a few days ago. The most fun to drive of all my cars, but I'm running out of space for toys. I'd been keeping this parked in my neighbor's garage the last few years.

Oh dear
I have a love/hate relationship with my B
So for the last 20 years I’ve been converting to a V6 and wilwood brakes
