Frunk unlock never unlocks fully first press

I've searched for a prior post on this but came up empty. I've never gotten the frunk to open fully on the first press on the touchscreen console or mobile app. The first press "opens" the hoold but it is still latched. I find that I have to press once, let it complete its cycle and then press it again to unlatch and be able to pull the hood up. It's getting really annoying....

You need to get your latches adjusted or replaced

Yup. Call service. Classic symptom to get latches adjusted or replaced.

I have the same issue, will start a list for minor quibbles when I take it in for service.

Frunk requires two taps to open
Steering wheel makes low squeak/squeal type noise
Front driver door doesn't hold open position
Soft close not always working driver door
Trunk trim loose inside left trunk (trim tack looks disconnected)
Body and rear LED trim where body and plastic meet
Rear braking warning

I started getting the rear brake warning after an update and sure enough rear braking got turned off in the settings. I turned it back on and no longer get the warning. I only found it as I was looking for something else in the settings.

Drivers softclose is a software issue. I had mine looked at and they pushed it up to engineering and thats what they found. Not sure when it will be fixed...hopefully in 2.4 but mine still seams to not work all the time, its better but not 100% and everything in the door including the module was replaced.

Mine is going in this week to hopefully get the frunk latches sorted-4th attempt.
You definitely want to get this resolved. If you end up with a stuck front that won't close you'll enter the dreaded turtle mode with a speed limit under 40 mph.

Happy to report frunk is now functioning.
Service ticket states
Concern: Customer states frunk hood not opening 90% of the time. States it appears the passenger side is getting hung up. Check and advise

Cause: Hood striker out of adjustment

Corrections: during inspection, found the hood to be needing 2 opening commands in order to open frunk. found the striker to be too far forward on both strikers. loosened both hood striker T30 fasteners and adjusted strikers multiple times to ensure consistent and proper opening functionality for the frunk system.

Also got the recall for the front speakers distortion-TSC-B0824-001-01 Lower A-Pillar Speaker Distortion. Sound is much improved.
