Steps To Reproduce:
  1. Lock car
  2. Walk away
  3. Use Long Press on the Key fob to open the Frunk
  4. Approach car
  5. Frunk light doesn't turn on
  6. Open any door on the car
  7. Frunk light finally turns on

Seems like a bug, car remains in low power mode with most systems powered off until the doors are opened.

Wow! did not know that I even had the light.

I have a different issue with my Frunk Light. Months ago I noticed it the light was a dull-brown color. Thinking it was burning out, I contacted Mobile Service who came and replaced the light. The new light was white. They ran a diagnostic, found a software module hadn't been updated properly, and suddenly the light turned blue. Incidentally, when unplugged we noticed the connector was 4-pins .. this is a color (RGB) light. Mobile Service thought they could push an update, but the light color has never been corrected.

As can been seen in the attached video; 1) I opened the frunk and the light is off, 2) when I opened the driver's door the light comes on, white, then fades into blue.

I had really hoped one of the software updates would fix this, but no luck and I'm on 2.2.2 ...

What color is your Frunk Light?

My frunk light is white and it comes on when I open the frunk.

I attended the Natick MA Lucid Owners Rally and spoke with the Service Manager about my frunk light .. he asks: is it blue? YES! How did you know? 😜 Apparently when the light is replaced, which mine was, the Tech needs re-run the "light addressing" diagnostic with the door open so that all lights are activated. I'll ask my Mobile Tech to do this next time he's at my house.

Next test, see if your refrigerator light goes off when you close the door. You may have to remove shelves and food to find out. Also have some one just outside as there is no emergency latch inside( safety first!)

Same with trunk. Light on only if unlocked/car 'on'
The same for the manual trunk latch. I have to wait for the car to unlock before I can use it to open the trunk. It's worked that way since I got the car, so nothing new.
