26 Lucid, 600 miles. Start the car the other day and it says “turn signal module error contact service” or something like that. Then it disabled collision avoidance.

15 minutes later, it’s fine. Should I worry? Is this like Teslas “blinded by the sun” errors?

This is the second turn signal error we’ve seen on the forum. If it is intermittent, it’s probably something in the latest update. If it comes back regularly or stays on, or if you just want to be safe, have service check it out. I’d probably wait until the next update or if it comes back again.

The “blinded by the sun” errors happen with lidar in the car just like in a Tesla, but I have never seen it affect the turn signal. Could be related, or could not be - no idea.

Aight I’ll see if it does it again. I only have DreamDrivePoverty edition so no Lidar. I think.

Hi everyone.
I got this same error yesterday. Messages dissapeared a few moments later. Had the car for a week - 2026 Air Touring.

I've gotten this error three times now, all three after the front of the car was sitting in direct sun. Rebooting does NOT clear it.

The last time I happened to be parallel parked so I did some experiments since I could see the reflections on the other cars, turns out the front passenger blinker was not activating, so at some level this is a "real" error in the sense that something stopped working. Additionally, the blind spot cameras didn't work on the drive home.

I parked the car in my garage, waited 15 minutes and tried again and the error was gone. Took it to another lot, parked rear facing sun for an hour, no errors. I get this is not a big sample size, but if some aspects of the car are producing errors based on large temperature swings (ie sun in cold weather) that could be an interesting data point. Hopefully Lucid looks at geographic data for errors/complaints.

Setting up SC appt, will followup if there is anything interesting to come out of it.

Also of note: the errors don't show on wake up, they only appear when the car is put into Drive or Reverse.

I had this error shortly after the last OTA. I've never seen it before, or since. Seems likely to just be a software bug.

Just for info. Same right front blinker fault "alert" happen to me 2 times couples months ago to finally break for real on the third call. Service replaced it, problem solved. Had another alert (same front right) for a couple seconds just before 2.8.5 but never come back since. Never happened in direct sun.

See the bugs thread: I've had all sorts of these similar warnings last week that all went away and now things are fine. But it definitely is a "boy who cried wolf" scenario now, where we have to figure out how serious we should take these warnings.

Talked to the SC today. They said that the sensors can overreact to sunlight but the car should go back to normal by driving a bit. I haven't seen that so far myself, but will try it if I see it happen again. They also said that there should be improvement with a future software update.

An idea for future update should be to add a few more seconds for the "wake up check" of the car when we select gear. I think it would help to bypass those false errors calls right after we moved aka "Lidar blocked", "clean camera", "Front right flasher" and the like. We all know that updates means more work for cpu as well as less memory available (overall) in all kind of computer. Just an idea, I could be wrong.
