Lucid Air Touring
New to this community and did not intend to start with major complaint. I leased my Lucid Air Touring on 9/20/25 from Atlanta. Within 2 weeks I got notice of Drive System Fault> Stability Control Unavailable >Automatic Hold Failure>
Previous day: DC Charging Failure Charging Only warnings. They picked up and now told me that it's a Front Drive failure and need a Front drive replacement.
I have driven Tesla S for 8 years. Minor issues but nothing like this.
1. Should I trust this to be repaired well by my dealer?
2.Can I trust this car to drive long distances?
3. Is this not a lemon car?
I will give one more try than to break the lease.
Has any one experienced this problem early ?

No, it’s not a lemon. Check lemon laws to see what qualifies because this certainly ain’t it. Just like giving them one more try is not a valid legal argument to break a lease.

Not a good first impression for sure but Lucid is doing what’s it’s obligated to do. Repairing free of charge under warranty. You think Tesla is perfect? No, you simply got unlucky with your Lucid

So just an update. They have repaired it. Fault was with inverter and it caused cascade of failure.
  • The front drive unit (FDU) had an inverter failure, causing multiple control and high-voltage isolation errors.
  • They removed and replaced the entire front drive unit under warranty.
    • Pyro fuse blew during diagnostic testing.
    • They replaced the rear battery disconnect unit (BDU) and related parts (uDCDC converter, connectors, contactors)
So lots of work done. Car is back after 3 weeks.
Called the Lucid Financial and there is no lease forgiveness.
I hope it works well. Do not want this warning to happen while I am on highway as car suddenly stopped.
