For Gravity in Titanium: Stealth or Platinum?

Getting the Tahoe interior for sure.

Wife likes the Titanium, while I personally like the Quantum Gray. So, of course, we're getting Titanium

Now the question is whether Stealth or Platinum. For the Quantum, Stealth is the obvious choice (for us). But for Titanium, looks-wise, we'd have to "step up" to the 21/22 Orion Platinum wheels, which loses 43 miles of range and costs even more.

My current order is the same... Titanium with Tahoe (though I might switch back to green or white). I wish they would offer paint-matching trim... titanium to match titanium

In lieu of that option, or wrapping it, I chose stealth... in as much to have some extra contrast and avoid standing out. Though... it would first be nice to see Titanium (or white) in person.... I wish they would produce a few just for display or testing in the SC's.

I'm going to take the opposing view: while I think platinum with the titanium looks fine, I like the contrast of the stealth with the bright body colors. So much so that my white GGT order is spec'ed for stealth with 20/21 wheels.

That said, my wife says I have horrible taste, so perhaps you shouldn't listen to me.

Yes. only for the small wheels. So if you go small wheels, then Stealth makes more sense.

But I’d do the middle wheels. The range is still good enough. And they are all-season. So no need to worry about the weather.

Car & Driver found the Air does about 80% of rated EPA range in their 75 mph real-world highway test. NotchEv just published a YouTube video showing about 80% of EPA range for an EPA 450 range Gravity config. So it might be realistic to figure a range reduction of 34 miles.

If I was less impatient I definitely would have gone with this combo.

He ran the test at 50 degrees and with the heat on, so in my view it was more of a range-penalty test for keeping climate control on (at 70 mph).

I do hope someone with the 21/22 wheels does a range test, also.

I don't think anyone yet knows what the real highway range difference is between the smallest and the mid-size wheels. The EPA figures are a poor proxy for predicting highway range but, given that, Lucid cites an EPA rating for the mid-size wheels that is the same as for the largest wheels which wear very different tires and have a much more open face to the airflow. So I believe that only one of the two larger wheel sizes were actually tested (and we don't know which), and that number was simply slapped on the other.

I normally prefer the Stealth trim, especially on the darker colors, but I saw a Lunar Titanium Gravity with the Platinum trim at the West Palm Beach Studio, and the combination was stunning. If that had been available on the Dream Edition, it's what we would have chosen.

Personal preference. I don’t think Platinum looks good on any of the Gravity. With each color, I think stealth is best - it still has some chrome to it, just dull.

I have AG/Platinum and it’s “meh”. If your goal is to stand out, it’s good. Otherwise, it doesn’t go well (IMO) with the colors or styling. I feel the same with the Air.

For my wife and I, Platinum trim paired with Lunar Titanium was the clear choice.

But we are coming from a high contrast “stormtrooper” look X, so perhaps that played a factor.

That does look great. I avoided the titanium because the website configurator makes it look darker than your photos do. So I went with white instead. Your photos make me question my choices a bit. But I know I want the 20/21 wheels, and with black wheels I think I prefer the stealth instead of platinum, on both the white and titanium.

Well IDK.....@charleyscott posted a pic of a Stellar White GGT with stealth and the 20/21's on the delivery truck (Gravity GT Supernova Bronze deliveries thread) and it looks sharp

I don't get the the love with the "stealth" look, or the latest fascination with "matte wraps". Both make the cars they adorn look either muddy or dirty.

I prefer maximum chrome and dazzling pearlescent shine, a la 1960s Motown or 1970s Toyota and Datsun. Basically I want my ride "pimped out", in the original sense of the word. Showy, gaudy and impossible to ignore.
