There is no option for 21s as you saw. Lucid sells the 19” wheels and snow tires; the OEM are Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 LM1 Lucid.Got a dusting here in NH yesterday. 2025 GT with 21" summer tires didn't care - but there wasn't enough accumulation to do much of anything.
The guys at the Natick MA service center will sell me a snow tire package OR store/swap a set I buy (which is cool)
Thoughts on 19" winter wheel/tire choices?
You made me log in.Tomorrow I may get to see how see handles in the snow.
Yes, be careful on the 21” summer tires. They can be dangerous below 45 F especially trying to stop. Many thanks for all the great insights and advice. We may get enough snow overnight to see how awful the 21's will be until I can order/mount snows.
Do not drive on the 21" summer tires when temps drop below 40 American degrees.Yes, be careful on the 21” summer tires. They can be dangerous below 45 F especially trying to stop.
How about driving on ice? Video: https://photos.valxp.net/s/vgnjgjbohb/lucid-on-ice
I have Pirelli Cinturato Weatheractive and the grip is pretty good but I can definitely see a hit to the mileage vs the OEM 19s.I’m giving the “all weather” category a try (if all-season is 3-season with a summer focus, all-weather is winter focus) - so far Vredestein Qualtrac Pro+ on 19” sparcos handled that first Massachsetts snow about as well as winters have in the past for me
A few hundred miles in I’m getting about the same efficiency as the Pirelli 21s. I had a loaner with the Pirelli 19 all-seasons and I find the Vredesteins to have better grip and steering feel, so I’ll take the slight range hit to keep the performance.
