Finally Apple Watch app and widget fixed :) I am free again from my iPhone

I have complained a lot in many posts that the Apple Watch app was not working properly and it was dependent on iPhone for connectivity

Also the widget was not working at all , it worked for couple minutes after any update and then it disconnected

Since the last 2 updates I am happy to report both issues are fully fixed

And most importantly the Apple Watch app can work independently from iPhone which means you can go running and leave everything behind in the car including your phone and you can open the car from Apple Watch app via 4g connection and you do not need to connect to iPhone via Bluetooth

In fact, my phone just died on me 2 days ago while I am out with the family and I was able to open the car from Apple Watch app without any issue no card no fob no phone


So you can open your lucid with 4 options
App iOS or android
Fob
Card
Watch

Correction: iWatch.
There isn't a Lucid app for android (WearOS) watches.
You can unlock the car on a WearOS device using Home Assistant though, if you want to spend enough time and effort to set it up.

I am a big fan of lucid Apple Watch app , I started using it in daily basis since it has been reliable to check charging speed and open the car specially when I am carrying groceries and my kid


Perhaps if there is more demand / need for WearOS I am sure lucid will consider

I suppose I could try to vibe code something. I'm not a 'real' developer - just a grizzled old Solaris/Linux admin who has been scripting admin tooling forever. So I'm not completely unfamiliar with writing code. I should hopefully be able to keep the LLM in between the lines.
