Favorite Gravity Feature of the Day

Okay. Been a while. Favorite today is the dynamic headlights or whatever they call them. Adaptive drive beam. They’re awesome. They adjust perfectly, no one is flicking me off for brights in their eyes and they’re magical with how well I can see at night. A haiku to show my appreciation:

Lucid beams awaken
Adaptive light carves the night
My heart races free

They are a great feature! I didn't really care about them originally but they're really nice.

The center console seems a little narrow, but I love the fact that I can comfortably cross my legs in the front passenger seat... so much space.

My new favorite feature is Creature Comfort, because until they come out with "Camp Mode", and as @raleighone has posted, it seems to be the best option for car camping
I love it because I use it for my dog all the time.

Question about the adaptive drive beam. How can you tell that you have properly engaged them. When I cycle through light settings using the left steering wheel stalk, I get the brights to come one but do not see the shaped pattern (car in front of me is totally light up and probably bitching at me.). I see three different Auto headlight displays - Auto on with brights green, auto on with brights blue, auto off.

I believe if you have auto high beams set to be on (blue), they will automatically adapt.

^This. They require at least DDPremium or Pro to work. Too lazy to confirm which.

The front seats. I've driven many luxury cars but the driver's seat in the Gravity is by far one of the most comfortable. The lumbar adjustment is spot on. Then there are adjustable side bolsters and the thigh support. It makes every day driving so enjoyable.

The headlights are great BUT what is with the dark rectangles in the beams - 2 on the driver's side and 1 on the passengers. I checked with the Lucid tech and was informed that it is normal and those are sensors in the headlights. Never seen this before but these are probably one of the most sophisticated headlights available.

I'm very happy with the two main screens and the UI. It is the best layout and functionality I've had, especially for trips and fits very well in how we use the car. The tray tables, the especially roomy second row, and spacious covered cargo (with the cover) in the trunk, are a great combination. Having the bench in the front allows for outdoor or indoor seating for snacks or scenic views along the way. However, for us, the best combination is the very quiet interior (a huge improvement over our prior EV's) and how comfortable it is to drive. Makes it easy to drive far and long with the range. We hope PIN to drive (and for the glove box) is added this year if possible.

The dark cutouts are to reduce blinding headlight glare for incoming traffic. That’s according to a service advisor who told me it was normal when I attempted to get it fixed.

Today is a repeat, but lots of new folks here and I would guess they don’t read every page.

Love the ability to turn the pilot display off/black. It’s awesome for long trips at night. I wish it wasn’t such a hidden feature and that you could do it without using the shortcut button.

For those who don’t know, the pilot panel shortcut button can be set to make the pilot panel go dark (off) and then it comes back on when you touch it. Nice touch. Pun intended.

A haiku to show my appreciation:

One soft touch erases
The glowing pilot panel
Pure road, pure quiet

You can also swipe down from the top of the pilot panel and press the power button icon

And that’s why I love the forum. I’ve probably missed that about 100,000 times over the last year. Thank you!!

Ron,
Not to be a stickler (Which I am...), but haiku are 5,7,5 syllables - not 6,7,5.
"Soft touch erases" is good. "One soft touch erases" is bad. "Lucid beams waken" is excellent. "Lucid beams awaken" is not excellent.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.....

wide opening door for when you break your foot and have to wear a boot and it makes it easier to climb in

Dang it. I know they’re 5,7,5. This is why you check AI! It’s a lesson for everyone. 🤣
