Favorite Gravity Feature of the Day

I stumbled upon a new feature today.
It didn't exist at delivery, so it came with one of the OTAs.

The Pilot Panel custom buttons can be set to turn the Pilot Panel on or off.
I had the right button set for the glove box since delivery and the left one for massage.

Changed the left button to Pilot Panel on/off today.
Previously, during night time driving, I would use the Quick Control feature to dim the panel lighting level.
Now I can just turn it on as needed and back off when done.

That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing. I was JUST thinking “gosh they need a dark mode fo the pilot panel” the other night as it’s bright and I don’t mess with it much when driving.

Do you know if there’s a way to toggle it other than using the shortcut button? I use mine for Homelink and then seat heat/vent for front seats.

Feature today may be somewhat controversial as I know some folks have had issues (no, it’s not the fob!).

It’s entry/exit from third row. Middle seats move (albeit slowly!) very well and really make a good amount of space for folks to get in and out. As well, the placement of the button on the side, versus the “typical” top next to headrest is really helpful for my kids.

Use this a lot and find it to be quite thoughtful.

Can’t wait to actually experience this! My car goes into service again on Weds to have the faulty middle row seats completely replaced (and a few other issues fixed). I’ve seen others demo this on their 7-seat Gravity and marvel at the well executed access to the third row.

I'm not aware of another way other than the shortcut button.

Hopefully the zen option on the left cockpit panel will provide some choices at some point.

This is going to be a lame one, but…..

I just picked up alterations from the cleaner and…. Hung them up in the back seat from the laundry hook by the grab handles!!!!!

I’ve had a Tesla S for the last 8 years. This is the first time in 8 years I haven’t had to lay my clothes across the back seat or in the trunk, or hung them awkwardly from an aftermarket hook over the front seat backs.

YES!!!! Coming from an MS having the hooks is so convenient.

New one today and it’s a variation on @msaunders9430 discovery.

When you turn off the Pilot screen, the buttons for HVAC and volume still work perfectly and show info on the Pilot screen and then the info goes away - excellent implementation.

I hope Lucid adds the “turn off pilot screen” as an option and doesn’t just keep it hidden for shortcut buttons. It’s great for long trips and night driving.

When the temperature is below freezing, the pilot panel has a new "de-ice" button appear that turns defrost heat on full and then slowly moves the wipers while spraying washer fluid. Neat!

(The wipers are heated iirc, too, and the same mode exists for the Air)

Okay. Been a while.

Today’s definitely doesn’t get enough love. RANGE and efficiency are my favorite today!

Just finished 140 mile trip and got 3.38kWh. Actually went about 142 miles and “consumed” about 136 miles of battery range. Yes, conditions were good, but I’ve never come close to that type of efficiency or range to rated on my X or R1S.

It IS cool. Though mine also says “unknown interior” and I am still not sure why it shows the charge door open all the time when I first open it. But it’s fine. App works well.

Yes. Mine displays the wrong wheels. Mine was charging at the time, so I thought it did that correctly

Lucid also recently fixed their online configurator so that you can still 3D “spin” the car even after you have changed the wheels, internal color, etc. Previously it seemed to only work if you didn’t change those items.

Favorite “under loved” feature today is the frunk cushion. Don’t use it a lot, but don’t want kids to eat in car. Got food with my daughter after a game the other day and we just hung out with frunk seat and enjoyed our lunch. It was actually really nice.

If I had the power package it would be a possibility. Alas, I chose speed of delivery over options back in August. Honestly, I don’t miss the Power Package like I thought I would.

Anyone notice that the music gets louder automatically if you accelerate? (I've noticed this using Spotify...) Cool subtle feature.

Saw mentions of Zen Mode above. To me, this is a bit silly to name it that when it's only 5% of the screens that goes black. They should really add a true Zen feature that turns off all screens except the one directly in front of the driver with necessary info only. This would be really nice for nighttime driving. (Can't believe we all used to drive cars WITHOUT huge screens...lol)

Based on comments from Lucid officials before the Gravity was released, a true Zen mode is planned in which minimal info is shown on the center display is all that's shown. We'll see.

A bit of a stretch to call this a hardware feature but I appreciate the way a cardboard 4 drink carrier just wedges itself so snugly into the center console

Today (maybe I mentioned it earlier) I want to shout out the fold flat second row. It makes a HUGE difference with respect to cargo capacity and its design is incredibly thoughtful (in my mind). Is it perfect? No. Does it cause some other unwanted issues (like hiding seat belt buckles) or squeaks? Probably. But it’s really amazing for storage/cargo and far more useful than the second rows in our X or R1S when it comes to flexibility.

I'm sure it's been mentioned already, but I just love the ability to separately control the heated butt and back cushions. I don't enjoy butt heating for more than a minute, while continuous back heating is amazing for those long drives in a cold weather. My wife has opposite preference for some reason, so we both immensely enjoy Gravity's heated seats controls.
With all the negative press recently let's not forget how amazing these cars are most of the time.
Taking long drives in December with Dolby Atmos Christmas playlist and heated massage seats, we can just keep driving past the house for the fun of it.
