The ventilation in most car seats is actually a downward and “suction ventilation“. This is how the Lucid Air works and also this is how your Model X works too.

He was a demo. I did a long time ago on the Lucid Air:

Agreed! As a pilot who parks his car for days, this is huge for me. I had drain issues with both of my R1Ss and the majority of my 7 previous Teslas. Either Lucid has nailed it, or the Gravity just doesn’t report it. Either way, I love that so far.

Actually that downward ventilation comment applies to European cars but not US. My 2 Mercedes literally suck. They suck the air from above the seat and disburse below. This works somewhat OK, but not great. Most US cars I have experienced ventilated seats (Ford and GM) blow cool air (pulled from floor vent under seats) up through the seat. In my Mercedes, I set the vents at their max setting and they just do a somewhat adequate job. In my daughters Buick, I have found that after first setting ventilation to max after getting into a hot car, I quickly have to reduce the ventilation setting to low.

So, it has been stated that the Air “sucks”. Does the Gravity also “suck” or does it “blow”?

It feels as if Gravity blows. 😃Whatever it’s doing is working well.

Our X sucks and that just never made sense to me despite seeing videos and reading about it.
 
Today’s feature is also seat-related. It’s the massaging front seats. Love them. Short drive, long drive, I actually use and enjoy them.

Traffic stands frozen,
yet my seat kneads calm through me—
rush hour feels like spa.

On my Ram 2500, if you feel uncomfortable, you definitely have to set the ventilated seats to the highest setting. The lower settings are for maintaining your comfort once you're already comfortable, and are a much more subtle effect. I think the low settings are actually done extremely well, as you don't notice air coming out of the seat, but it maintains your comfort quite nicely. Maybe the Gravity is the same design approach?

Than the away I’ve been using them in the Gravity. That is, full blast until comfort, and then down to 1-2 to maintain.

When you're on the home screen in the pilot panel (currently w/ the tripanel layout: maps, music, phone calls), you can swipe down on a panel and load that interface on the infotainment screen beneath. Of course you can also load those sections and more along the bottom dock of the infotainment interface, but this way you can keep it on home up top (which I genuinely think is a good layout that isn't too cluttered or empty) and "throw" that functionality onto the screen below.

I like it!

More finger prints on my screen, but that's why they make microfiber cloths.

It’s a simple one today, a riff off the original button post. Wait for it..:

I LOVE the REAL vents for HVAC with nice little tabs to adjust manually and not on screen.

Touch gives air its path,
Gravity obeys my hand -
Control feels like peace.

I just sat in my driveway for an hour doing nothing but going through various Tidal Atmos tracks. The Gravity sounds even better than Air due to a slightly less near field listening position and cabin gain effect really making it sound BIG. If anyone says the bass isn’t adequate in the Gravity I’m going to get them an audiologist appointment.
 
The ride gets enhanced with Hans Zimmer OST’s. The depth and quality is next to none.

Today’s favorite is for those who love cargo space.

The true fold flat in both the five and seven seat configs is just awesome.

Call it “minivan”-esque, but love the “stow and go” third row as well as the mechanism for folding the second row. Great engineering.
 
I finally got to try out DDPRO2. It’s actually fantastic. The capacitive wheel barely requires touch, and it handles extremely erratic and rough traffic on curves at dusk. The blind spot alerts were particularly helpful and the lane change suggestions were smart. I was initially pretty scared of using it, but then went ahead and trusted it and it didn’t disappoint at all.
