Expectations on Mileage loss?

6 months 7k miles 2024 Pure RWD
Battery health 95.4
Capacity 81.18

Are these numbers ok? Losing 5% seems like a lot in 6 months of almost no level 3, and rarely above 80%

I would love to know this as well. My 5 month old pure is at 95% battery health. Very rarely DC fast charger and only charged at 100% few minutes before 4 long trips. I got 5500 miles on the ODO. I would love to know if the 5% degradation is normal, assuming we can trust the numbers from the API.

Most EVs will lose up to 10% in the first year, and then a *lot* less after that.

However, we have been told time and time again by Lucid that that battery health number should not be relied upon. We don’t know what it means. 🤷‍♂️

The last time I checked on my two-year-old GT with almost 50K miles and a BRAND NEW main battery installed in early 2024, it was at 106 kW capacity (out of a theoretically possible 112 kW). I stopped checking after that.

Hey guys

Just an update. I drove the car around for a bit and then charged it. Seems like it is back to charging to the 406 mi at 80%. I think the mileage may have adjusted based on not moving it all that much and charging it so it adjusted the miles based on that!

It was likely temperature related. When it gets very cold out you will see a message saying “energy limited due to battery temperature.” You can also see a bar graph showing that your battery IS charged to 80%, but the last bit of the bar is blue representing the energy the brain of the car (battery management system) will NOT allow it to use until the battery is warmer. This is normal and meant to protect the battery.

When we had really cold weather last week some mornings I would wake up and the App would show just 380 miles at 80%. As soon as I drove the car and the battery warmed up (after being used), when I plugged it back in it would charge right back up to its “normal” 409 miles at 80%…

Definitely made sure to check if it was temp related, and it did not have any such warnings on the car or app. I have a feeling it was more like I had only moved it a few feet in-between charges, it was getting bad efficiency, it started to use that number to calculate the range. After driving it for around 70 miles yesterday and getting the efficiency i usually get, I charged back up to 80% and got the range I usually get.
