It's not used in our application. Some say it is for battery backup for V2H, or for something related to commercial applications. Don't install batteries in it.

The manual just says if applicable , but doesn't say what the battery is for.

It's one of those "if you don't know, you don't need it" things. A slightly more customized manual specific to us Lucid owners would be nice.

It, and the LTE connection, are both for commercial deployments, not residential.

man I installed it and now I have to uninstall it. Given the summer temps, I was concerned of the batteries swelling up

What batteries? Wouldn't it be easier to throw the breaker than Uninstaller it?

The AA batteries in the LCHCS that are not required nor advisable. Other than turning the breaker off and having to fight with the LCHCS cover, they're not hard to remove.
