Enter PIN with OTA 1.2.19

I've noticed that my AGT now shows the "Enter PIN to drive" message before allowing me to drive MOST of the time (while using the phone key for entry). This is different than with previous versions 1.2.17 and earlier where I never had to enter my PIN. I don't know if this is a new feature to prevent theft, or the facial recognition is not working as well? Has anyone else notice this change?
