EA Free charging

I've actually had very good luck with EA charger authentication, I only had to tap on a button in my phone app once our of a couple dozen charging sessions.

Getting good speeds and finding all chargers working at any given location have been less fruitful.

I travelled 5000 miles in last three weeks of ownership and i charged 4800 miles of it in EA. Visited 16 stations and had issues only thrice which is more than 80% success. Even the three location it was fixed when i called them. One instance was my drivers door was open and EA said door need to be closed when plugging in and it worked. Other two instances seems to be issue with station and a reboot of station by support fixed it.
You're a lucky man. I'm off on a 1,000 mile road trip soon & I'm dreading what I'll run into. My experience making multiple 400 mile quasi-local r/t has been nothing short of a horror show.

Depends on routes and which part of nation. For me, my 5000+ miles from California to Texas and Nevada to Texas round trips is worry-free. I only encountered 1 dubious station in New Mexico once.

I just saw @borski ’s link to check battery efficiency on my touring (https://testmycode.cc/). In the results I saw that my EA subscription shows as below:

chargingAccounts": [
{
"emaid": "[removed]",
"vehicleId": "[removed]",
"status": "ENROLLED",
"createdAtEpochSec": "1679702400",
"expiryOnEpochSec": "1711324800",
"vendorName": "ELECTRIFY_AMERICA"

From what I understand that means the subscription started in Mar 2023 and ends in Sep 2027. I am reading that correctly? My app does not show anything. I bought the car from 3rd party so don’t have access to the original owners past subscriptions.

I think that’s 1 year based on it being seconds

oh ok, I did a web search on those numbers and it returned March 23 2023 and September 03 2027. I know the car was delivered on March 2023, so the start date was correct, but was not sure about the end date as that is more than 4 years. I am getting free charging for now, so keeping my fingers crossed that it will last for sometime.

I just did it on phone swapping back and forth between the browser and calculator. But subtract those two and it’s close to number of seconds in a year

Yes, you are correct it comes to 366 days. Fingers crossed that this free EA charging continues for some time.
