Has anyone dropped their key fob and then had it stop working? I dropped it on the sidewalk and now it won’t work. I’ve tried shaking it and rebooting the car. It isn’t visibly cracked and doesn’t otherwise look broken. Seems weird for one drop to break it.

No, but a new battery fixed the problem! Hopefully replacing the battery isn’t a weekly occurrence.....

It was almost certainly just that the battery needed to be put back in; when you do, hold the unlock button while you put it in, to reset it.
They shouldn’t be eating through batteries quickly or anything, but who know, possible the battery was old (and had sat at the service center or something).
