Driving Awareness issues after update?

I updated to 3.6 last night, and drove my car for about 1.5 hours today, and am having issues with driving awareness not detecting my face. I don’t THINK it’s a matter of giving the car time to calibrate sensors, because I drove well over a half hour on highways so far.

Things I’ve tried:
Wiping the camera;
Adjusting the visor so the camera isn’t hit by glare
Adjusting my seat to make sure the camera sees my face (it never had issues before, but thought it was worth a try);
Reboots (2x)
Letting the car enter deep sleep and returning after 40 minutes

After letting the car deep sleep and returning, the Driving Awareness worked for about 2 minutes, then went back to saying it was disabled.

Any thoughts ? I want to make sure I’m not missing anything before I bother the service department.
I took delivery of May car on June 17. I am facing the same issue

I got the same issue.
Tried to disable the monitoring system, park, come back say like 20 mins or so. Then start driving and tried turning on the driver monitoring system. Now the hands free works fine but only for 2-3 minutes. Then off and kicks out from hands free!!! All this while on a 4 lane highway. Remains off till I come home and park.
Where/whom do we email this issue???
Exact same behavior for me as well! I haven't been able to use the true features i wanted to try on 3.6 at all.. kinda disappointed on updating the sw early. I dint get any ping from Lucid Team yet after emailing the sw team.

I've been having the same issue, frustrating after updating to 3.6 last week. First it took me like 4 days to drive enough for the calibration (my daily commute isn't that long i guess), then once that was done I was able to use hands-free for like two short drives. However, since then I've had a few longer drives, including 200 miles yesterday, and wasn't able to use hands-free for any other drives due to the issues with Driving Awareness. I've reset the car multiple times including the long reboot, and doesn't seem to fix anything. The frustrating thing is that immediately after I reboot I think it's better because I don't see any driving awareness error/alert, but then as soon as I start driving I get the notification that the driving awareness features aren't available and so I can't use hands-free. Of course once I start driving I can't reboot until stopping - and I don't actually have any indication that rebooting would fix it anyway.

Hoping that the software team is aware of this issue and has a fix around the corner, the two short times that I did use hands-free driving seemed like it was going to be nice to have for these long drives!

I did a profile switching to/from guest followed by the car reboot (more than once!). After 3rd (?) attempt it fixed a few issues for me (including Driver Awareness). Interestingly that one each profile switch it was triggering the garage door opening/closing - but after the final reboot it stopped doing it.

Not 100% sure if it is going to stay this way (and I also did not have a change to retry hands-free mode), but so far (last 2 days) the Driver Awareness seems to be working.

How did you do the profile switching? Just on the center screen while sitting in the car?

Ugh that's annoying, I thought you were on to something. I didn't think about the profiles being an issue, but that would have actually made sense. My cars main profile is an admin profile that's never used, and my own is a secondary profile. I had to swap to the admin profile after the 3.6 update to sign in to my lucid account again but that's the only time I've been there recently. I'll try it anyway and see...

FWIW, I had something similar happen to me. I set up my wife’s profile, then switched back. I didn’t have a DDA unavailable warning for a whole trip to the store (about 20 minutes), but it came on again when I drove back from the store.

Yes the profile thing has something to do with it. I switched to my "admin" profile for a bit and then back to mine, hands free then worked again. But it only lasted for a few mins then back to the same error with driver awareness :(

Well thats not a fix then!!
Mine seemed okay for one day on the drive back home. Now it's back like clock work. Didn't do any profile switch or anything.

Have you tried deleting your profile and creating a new one? Make sure you are looking forward in good lighting when you do so.

I think there is a facial recognition system and maybe the stored image is bad (but I could be wrong). I’m just guessing here, as I’ve had zero issues with my Gravity.

How do you delete a profile? I only have one where my fob is registered. Can only add new ones as mine is the administrator one. Can't seem to find a delete option for mine. If it was the image issue then I should have had the same driver awareness OFF before the 3.6 update. Any tips will be helpful.

Thank you for sharing. I just sent you a DM.

@marqie …I am experiencing the exact same issue described throughout this thread. Frustrating not being able to use true hands-free after having been able to experience it for about 2 miles of freeway driving. Any assistance or direction you can provide will be most appreciated….Thank you.

+1 on it. @marqie would appreciate you input on resolving this. Happy to provide data, logs etc to root cause and fix it for everyone.

So yesterday, I drove to a restaurant for lunch about 7 mi. away, primarily via freeway. Prior to entering the freeway, I noticed the ‘FEATURE UNAVAILABLE’ message was no longer displayed for Hands-Free Drive Assist, Distracted Driver Alert, and Drowsy Driver Alert. Once on the freeway, the Hands-Free Drive Assist indicator quickly appeared on my Clearview Cockpit screen, and the feature performed flawlessly throughout the trip. I felt optimistic that the issue had been resolved.

However, when I got back into my Gravity to drive home after lunch, taking the same route, I again saw the ‘FEATURE UNAVAILABLE’ message for all three features and, once again, I could no longer use the new Hands-Free feature. Sure wish I could diagnose and resolve this issue once and for all.

Yes, I just had the same experience. I've been playing around with changing profiles, I did a long drive on the primary profile with the feature unavailable, and the next drive I did on my secondary profile. Everything worked for about an hour, and it was great using the hands-free driving again. However, after an hour, the driving awareness was again unavailable, and no more hands-free driving for the rest of the drive. I still feel like this has something to do with the different profiles that I am using, but I am not 100% sure. Prior to this update, the primary profile on the car was typically not used by anybody, and I am the only driver but set myself up as a secondary profile.

I received some new information from a Lucid customer care representative today when I called about issues with my 3.6 software and Hands-Free Driving Assist. My Hands-Free feature has been inconsistent, at best, since I installed 3.6 last Friday - it breaks, briefly fixes itself, then breaks again, and is currently not working.

Customer care mentioned another over-the-air update is expected in a couple of days, which ‘he thinks’ should resolve my (our) issue. Fingers crossed!
