I haven't had many new problems since my December service, but now I've had two new exciting door-related issues almost at once! I'm sure service can resolve these, and I'll contact them soon -- I'm waiting to hear if the 2027 refresh includes a retrofit of a new 2nd row seat for 2026 so we can minimize visits.

A few days ago, the right rear door handle stopped retracting. (This is the opposite of the common problem, which is not presenting.) The door handle is just sticking out all the time, but functionality otherwise seems normal.

This morning I had a much more .. exciting problem. The left rear door would not latch. That is, pushing the door closed would not trigger any latching mechanism -- it would always rebound a bit and not stay closed. I didn't realize that the doors did not have a passive mechanical latch at all! Thankfully this resolved after several minutes, but not knowing the cause I'm a bit worried about the car being undriveable if it happens again.

It's finally warming up here, but during the winter we had a few cases where the window motors were frozen, even after running the defrost for quite some time. (This has been documented elsewhere in the forums.) This wasn't the windows being frozen in place by ice, but that they simply did not respond... which makes it hard to open and almost impossible to close these frameless doors. I hope there is going to be a motor revision to make this work nominally in a New England climate.

I'm confused by this one - did you try closing the doors extra hard? I know that sounds dumb, lol, but once it is half-cinched, you're right that you cannot close the latch if the motor has failed; the same is true on Air and on the lower trims which don't have soft-close doors. I actually kinda hate it, because I have a Touring loaner right now and don't have a choice but to slam the doors like an old Camry or they stay half-open, heh.

But if I close the doors only somewhat, expecting them to cinch closed (which they won't do because they don't have the motor), I have to reopen them again to close them and latch them, because just pressing on the door definitely doesn't work.

Hah -- yes. That was also the in-person conversation.... my husband said the door wasn't closing. "What do you mean it isn't closing?" "It's not closing." "Did you push it closed hard?" "Yes, I pushed it closed; it's not closing." (insert irate tone of voice as appropriate in the above) Then I went around the car and... it wasn't closing. You could open the door, then push and hold it closed, but when you let go it would come out a mm or two and if you were inside you could just push it open. Or lightly pull the handle from the outside and it would swing without the unlatching delay. Just no latching at all -- it was super weird.

I was about to try a reboot when it finally resolved, but I wish I knew why!

Can you elaborate on the 2nd row seat issue and retrofit? I have an October delivery DE and I’ve been fortunate not to have any 2nd row seat squeaks. Both of my seats work perfectly.

Just the rumors in this other thread: https://lucidowners.com/threads/una...ty-2027-model-coming.15000/page-3#post-330402

My 2nd row seems to work, but there are definitely squeaks and any motion makes a tremendous grinding sound even after service ("within spec"). The slides are still held together with zip-ties. Something got rushed here, and if there's a part rev I would definitely like that fixed.

If they would have just offered captain's chairs... :)
Yeah, an SUV at this price should offer captain’s chairs. I would’ve preferred them.
